Smile Jim

I just joined today and hope to find this very helpful for myself and the rest of you. My wife Karen and I have a 1973 , 31 ft Sovereign that we purchased 5 years ago.
We spent the first year making everything work and cleaning out the old owner mess.
We installed new flooring, drapes, water heater, tires, 12v converter, new water pump, pressure check valve and many small thing to silly to talk about.
We also carry several pink flamingo's to complete the feel of being in the south as we live in Canada with the wonderful winter to go with it.
I have done all the repairs at home and hope I can add to the helpful list of members with some of the things I have discovered over the years of happy Airstreaming.
We have towed to Florida, Virginia, Conn, and several sites in Ontario being our home Province.
The fact that we tow with a 92 F 150 seems to interest a lot of folks as they seem to think a truck that old would be a problem.
Never more wrong. The old gal and I have a strong relationship and will continue it as long as we can. She is very capable of doing the job and gets a lot of attention as they look good together.
Hope we can meet a few of you along the road and be of help to any who ask.

Jim

Welcome aboard!!! This is a great place to learn and share information and stories!

If it is any consolation, my second tow vehicle is a 1975 F-250 that I drove in high school 30 years ago. My newer diesel lost a $38 sensor that rendered it useless and I had to rely on the old Ford which has always been faithful!
