Greetings from Charlottesville, Va.
My wife Lynn and I are currently travelling about with a Tab trailer. It has been great fun and a splendid entre into the world of trailer camping. We pulled the Tab through 10 western National Parks last spring and had a blast.
Now that we sort of know what we are doing, we are thinking about a click up the evolutionary ladder to an Airstream.
Ten years ago, or so, we owned an Airstream 1967
Caravelle. It needed a lot of work and basically just sat behind our home. It was one of those projects that I never got around to, so we advertised it and sold it via rv trader (or equivalent).
We've just started looking at Airstreams again. Of the new ones, the 19 ft
Safari SE and the 20 ft Safari have caught our attention. A friend of ours
restores/refurbishes vintage Airstreams (Trailer Buff, Afton, Va. ) and so we may check that out.
For the moment we are designing a garage large enough to accomodate whatever Airstream we may end up with.
