I purhased my airstream a few weeks ago an am really extcited about my new project! I pulled up the old carpet and installed bamboo hardwood flooring. Now i am realizing that we need to paint the interior. What type of paint do you recommend for the vinyl walls of the interior?
Welcome to the forums. If you use the search bar on the blue line I believe you will find what you are looking for. I recall a couple of threads about painting the inside. You have sure come to the right place for info, a lot of smart and helpful people on here. Good luck with your restoration. Everyone will want to see pictures if you have some.
We have a 73 31 ft and found the interior to be very dirty and sticky when we first brought her home. I used very strong spray cleaner intended to clean tires on vehicles and followed up with many rinses with a wet sponge. It came out looking like new and a few shots of spray window cleaner in the spring keeps it looking fresh and smelling fresh as well. Try this first before you paint it if there is a chance to save the original interior.
Good luck and keep us posted
#2 what Jim wrote. Tire cleaner and then Windex to maintain. Works great!

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

If you must paint, then use Fantastik or 409 with one of the scratchy sponges to clean. Then prime with the lowe's 123 primer and finish coat with valspar premium latex.

Before you start painting, you might want to check this thread to see what has worked for other folks. There's some unique issues related to the vinyl coating on the interior panels that you should be aware of before choosing your products ... Good luck!
