What are the known issues w/ '08 Classics & Limiteds?

... currently in our 2nd Airstream; a "real" one... a 1992 Excella 1000 29' with twin beds. Currently offering it up for sale and kind of looking for our 3rd Airstream, we think.
Seems the newer model years have had issues.
Can anyone give me a frame of reference for any "Good Years" if there are any, and "Bad Years", meaning years with known issues.

Also, can anyone also issue any 2008 warnings in the Classics or Limiteds?

Thanks !

I have a 2008 Classic 25fb. So far I have not had the issue with the rear bumper rub rail leaking water to the subfloor under the rear dinette. I test the area with a moisture meter routinely after rain. I normally store under cover but check when I'm out and it rains.

When I negotiated with the dealer I had them replace the Actibrake hydraulic disc brake controller with a Dexter actuator even though the Actibrake passed the recall testor brake fluid leakage within the unit. I had them also perform the flexible brake line recall. You will need to check if those two recall. Have the discs and pads checked and have the system fluid flushed.

Mine was lightly used but I found some issues after purchasing.
1. The Parallax converter/charger had failed so I wasn't charging the batteries. Replaced with a PD4655 3 way charger.
2. The shower door inside flashing leaked water onto the hallway floor.
3. Black water check valve broken probably due to improper winterization. Replaced with just a elbow pipe.
4. The AC leaked water on the hallway. Found a poorly sealed connection to the drain pan under the AC.
5. My fridge LP flame would blow out while towing. Had the Dometic recall performed which included installation of more sheet metal around the flame box. No issues since.
6. My vinyl floor is bulging by the kitchen and under the dinette due to temperature extremes in Missouri. Will replace the floor eventually.
7. The hitch weight on my 25fb is higher than FC or International between 1100-1200lbs.
8. I replaced all the original Goodyear Marathons with Michelin LT 235/75x15 tires.

After these minor repairs its been pretty troublefree. I just finished a 3000 mile trip from Missouri to Utah and no issues.

Kelvin,
How did you decide on the Michelin's vs replacing with the same Goodyear's. Our tires have great tread and no cracks, but they are 5 years old so I am thinking of replacing.
Thanks

I researched the tire forums here and read up on tire selection. I had a GYM on my previous trailer and one of them started to fail so when I bought this Airstream the GYM had to go. They were due anyway being 6 years old.
