Andy, do you arbitrarily use say a 15% increase in DC voltage to correct for demand on system? Maybe use 13.8V as a max or something?

Maybe a voltmeter in the tool box wouldn't hurt.

So you think if it was 3/C or triplexed wires (3 single conductors) it would have been much harder to get through the grommets versus Romex?
Did you use the little rubber grommets from VTS?

Looking good by the way, I wish I had all my insulation installed, it just looks so CLEAN.

Most good converters, will increase the DC voltage, while they are providing a charge, 10 to 15 percent increase is common. Your 13.4 volts is a little over 11 percent.

If you move the decimal point in your math, 3 numbers to the right, then they would be "on the nose".

Wow, I posted a response to your posts but it looks like it was deleted. Thanks for your post Andy the electrical is defiantly the trickiest part of this whole project.
@ Tim the 6/2 romex I bought for the main service was too big for the existing holes. I just got some rubber grommets from the hardware store gotta love OSH! Got the interior layout a little more dialed in and ordered 2 group 27 AGM (Lifeline) batteries.

Ahhhhh, the old blue tape phase..... Looking good. I just removed the last piece of blue tape and have cabinets. I'm still doing odds n ends of electrical.

Yep the tape phase. I am hopeing I get my bateries this week so I can get a better idea where they will work best. As far as the rest of the wireing (battery to converter and a/v ) I am not going to pull it thru the walls. I don't want to drill any more holes in the ribs.

I'm finding that since the cabinets line the entire perimeter of the trailer, it's no problem running things after the fact. But you do use more cable.

Ironically, because my trailer is so short and I have the bed going crosswise in the back, I've noticed that things like wiring in the fridge have actually used less cable than if I had gone overhead. I am regretting not putting more wires in the ceiling for extra fans and such.

But back on topic, the progress is looking good!

I am mostly going to do the shorter bigger wires on the outside of the walls. I am still rinning the smaller wires in wall. Hope to get the batteries installed this week so I can test the 12v system.

No I did not. I dont think the inner skin would fit so well. Also the ribs gennerate a lot of heat, insulation directly on top of them would just radiate right thru.
