Yeah, it's 12 volt. And it is working just fine now.
You all can't see my sheepish grin - after getting to the hidden receptacle, tv brick, and other wiring, I decided to check the electrical panel under the bed. The OP had 3 circuits turned off, and failed to mention this to me (in fairness, I didn't ask, nor was I smart enough to check). The one circuit that was on powers the receptacles, which is all that I was using on the 110 volt system.
All was not for naught, though. The shelf for the dvd player in the overhead locker was a pain, so I just left it out. I plan to stack our Dish TV box on top of the dvd player with velcro to keep it in place and prevent rattling.
Safe travels to all,
Marion

Does anyone make their passengers wear belts? Other than the pilot/co-pilot, our seatbelt sign stays off during flight. I always laugh at those buckles hidden away under the sofa.

They are available in 110" lengths - with 12" extenders on each end, should do the trick just fine .
In all seriousness, my grandboys (2 and 5 years old) will be belted to keep them from wandering during travel. And, I haven't checked for a RV exception, but kids typically have to be in buckled boosters/car seats in vehicles in Illinois.
Safe travels to all,

I'm sure it's a law in all 50 states. But logic on this one astounds me. Why don't school buses have seatbelts?!
And in SC, folks/kids are allowed to ride in the bed of a pickup truck. But aren't allowed to be inside a vehicle unbelted!

Marion, while working on the overhead cabinet by the TV, I relocated the hinges to where the door would open from the bottom. I found this better for my situation (DVD Player and HD Recorder in cabinet) than to have the door open from the side and intrude into the aisle way. I added two "shocks" to the door like are on the other cabinet doors that hinge from the top (they hold the door open and closed). They were available at the local RV supply store.
As an aside, earlier I replaced all the tires, had the new tires balanced, had the froint end aligned, and replaced the leaking air bags that are inside the front suspension springs. All these "fixes" sure improved the handling of the rig.
Enjoy, Sam

Thanks, Sam. I will keep this in mind as we get comfortable or not with how ours is set up.
I did leave the shelf out after pulling out all the stuff from the overhead locker. It was a pain dealing with all the cables in the limited space on the fixed shelf. I used velcro to hold the dvd player in place, and will do the same for the dish box.
Safe travels to all,
Marion

The open door drives me nuts, sticking out in the aisle. I have the dvd and my cable box in there so I can watch my cable service when I'm parked at home next to the house and there's too much heat build-up. I'm going to get spring loaded hinges to put on the top for an upward hinge movement because I replaced the tv with a 26" sony and I think that a downward hinge would hit the tv if it is more than 90 degrees. Thanks for the suggestion.

Terrific idea. I just installed spring loaded hinges on the door below the clothes pantry next to the shower. We also are tired of the upper door opening out into the aisle.

Does anyone know how many hours I can get from my Onan generator in a 2002 Landyacht.

It's pretty common to get several thousand hours before any major service. Onan's are known for reliability as long as you run them loaded down every month for an hour or two. It's sitting that kills them.

You got that right. Had to spend $1100.00 this spring to repair mine. Better believe I'm going to run it regularly going forward.

Oh oh...one more thing we didn't know about.
What do you mean by "loaded down"?

Loaded Down
Put a load on the generator while running it, say one or both air conditioners. Or if it's cold outside you could turn on the heat option on your AC's.

Loading a diesel genset and exercising the Air Conditioner should be a regular maintenance routine. (at least once every 60 days) The length of time running depends on where you live weather wise.
If you are in a cold damp climate, run the Air for a few moments and then the heat if the Air is not wanted.
The big thing is to run the Onan/KUBOTA etc long enough to bring it up to operating temperature to help eliminate condensation from a mid temp range shutdown. The generator unit will benifit from heat generated also.
The same principle may apply to gasoline or LPG powered units.

Run the generator for a couple of minutes before you turn on the air conditioners. Otherwise you might kick out a circuit. Nothing like a previous learning experience!. BTW we bought a 2008 Honda CRV and had a Roadmaster All Terrain tow bar put on today. Off to Whitefish and Glacier next week!

Someone called the 26 ft. Land Yacht "the sports car of motorhomes". Enjoy! I like this series of Airstreams for their relative simplicity. We had Airstream trailers for a number of years, and these have very similar systems.
