Smile Wheel into Winthrop - 38th Vintage Wheels Show

Anybody going to this Rally? We thought we might combine a weekend of fishing and rallying. It will be our first rally and are a bit nervous not knowing what to expect. We have a 78 24 Argosy that is being refurbished but it is camp-able. You can reach us at tretmk@gmail.com if you wish to coordinate anything.

regards

We aren't going, buy when we took our "work in progress" Shasta to a rally we were welcomed, but didnt get much interest in our trailer. YMMV.

Ian, send me a few pictures of your Shasta. I helped a lady with a 1966 16' Shasta with bath and toilet. It was pretty cool. What year did you go?

Our first rally was last Sept at South Beach with the ROVT crew. Great people and beautiful trailers, but with 2 small kids they got bored quickly so we bugged out for the aquarium and beach.

We are more into camping than glamping. :-)

But I will gladly post a few photos of our Compact, although we just sold it.

Just wanted to make sure you knew about Riverbend rv park. Right on the river just north of Twisp, really nice little spot for a vintage Argosy! We just joined the forum today and have a 79' 24' minuet. We return to the Methow on the 7th from our first trip in it. Couldn't be more excited! Have fun at the rally. We would love to come see your Argosy if you come!

Jewel who or what is ROVT? We aren't into Glamping either. Take a close look at our trailer. It's all about function not glamour.

John, the rally is Sept 6-8 I believe. Look it up on TinCan Tourist.

Beewarangles - We know about River bend. Did they let you in? Since our trailer is a 78 and needs a paint job, they said their park (during the summer) is only for "Newer" models. During deer season, they let everyone in LOL (It's for the $$$)

Try Carlton RV Park. Its 8 miles south of Twisp. Most central fishing location, across from the river and swimming, It is small and well maintained. There may be a few regulars but the setting is nice. Bob & Betty are great people and Sunday breakfast is very good.

Here's a few shots of our Shasta. Have fun if you go to the rally, we are all about camping, not glamping.

we wish we could go... but will be in yellowstone at that time (without the AS).
Winthrop is just over the hill (big hill) from us. I have never pulled a trailer over hwy 20 north cascades. We just got new axles on our AS and are looking forward to taking it out on the road.
maybe we will meet some of you Washington people at another meet up.
BTW we are going to the OR coast in OCT.

Buffaloman; So sorry to hear River Bend is like that. I have only ever visited others there, and they happen to have a newer RV. If you come to Carlton would you post? I would like to see your Argosy. Ours is stored not far from there. Thanks, and safe travels.
