Thanks to all the 4CU 'streamers, members, and friends for making Velcro and me feel as part of the group. Great planning came together for a great trip.
Thanks to Richard and Mike for the desert golfing - Jim and Mini for all the tasty Bloody Mary's - Bob and Co. for the pancakes and "breakfeast" - Paul and Michael for the BLM Blues! I was able to talk Greg and Terry into making me a set of window coverings for the Silver Bullet; Mary and Mark - great meeting you and thanks for all the great tips. Michael: Burning Man 2010, bro!
Julianne - Velcro's got a huge crush on Hanna!
We just got back after a 10-hour ride through the nastiest WX in the White mountains on Hwy 60 - Scenic but wet. Worth it, however. Thanks to Louis for the suggestion. I think Howard and Co. went the long way around through to Deming - probably missed all the WX that way.
Anyhow, thanks again to ALL!
Had a blast and hope to see you at the New Year's drill near Phoenix -- Sergio/Louis: Shoot me need a vector...
I've got a ton of snaps from the weekend - someone give me the gouge on the easiest way to push them to the forum - the picture icon above isn't behaving!

Richard:
Who's the guy with the dimensions for the A/C wooden forms? Zeplin? And... what's the best/easiest way to upload pictures from my hard drive to the forum message? Tried clicking the picture icon and it only opens a URL register...???
Thanks for everything!

Ken~ We had several Burners gathered around the campfire! With the way the wind blew most days it was like being at Burning Man. Good times.
Thanks everyone for a fantastic Thanksgiving!
Beat the traffic and weather home. Hannah went straight to her leather sofa for some serious snoring while I did the deed of unpacking the traila.
See y'all in Pichacho!

Misc. Pics from the Quartzsite Crew...
I've figured out the upload drill... Too many single malts last night after I got home, I guess!
There's a shot of Mike's "ScrapIrony-2" group visiting Anita "the Bottle Lady's" home decorated with a 3+ acre bottle collection that features the "blue bottle tree"...

More shots from the "Q"...
1. View of our area from the "golf course"... Foothills in background look like being view through your right-side rear-view mirror; they are images that are closer than they appear...
2. Velcro definitely thinks Hanna is HOT! Rex is not amused...
3. Jan's about to open her "fireplace fan" at the "Jimmini" SquareStream - a birthday present from Serg & Lou! It was clear she liked it...
4. Look close to see the reflection of Julianne's right shoulder airstream tat in the reflection of Richard's rig...

...just a few more...
1. Mike and Paul jamm'n - BLM Blues? Maybe...
2. Richard on the tee box about to cream one...
3. Mike definitely had the classic swing!
4. Art and Richard - note Richard takes his golf seriously, he brought his golf glove! I made sure I had my Pacifico... And OBTW: those are "T's" from Steve's Vintage Trailer Supply up in Maine; TEAM VINTAGE GOLF!

I just want to add our "Thank you" to all who put it together. Richard & Jan; Mike & Tracy and all the others who did so much (sorry I can't remember all the names). I'm still trying to put the names/forums names and faces together.

thank you all for making this not only a great thanksgiving but a most wonderful welcome to our first rally with 4cu. living in silvertown was amazing and watching the last few rigs arrive was very exciting. the food and companionship were warm the drinks cool and the joy of being out in the desert was just flat out fun. the dogs settled and our yoti, the springer told us this is the way we should live every day. thank god we got home before the weather turned, it did rain on saturday when we got up north. wished we had met the folks from camp verde as i think i have past their place in my travels. maybe next time. the music was perfect, the fire tenders did any pyro proud. we will see you all new years.

One of the nice things about this rally is EVERYBODY is a host...no set schedule except happy hour...at somewhere around 8:00 am the first morning(some of us started a few days early) and ended somewhere around after everyone left...it reconvened early this pm(4:00pm) when Jimmini and I got tired of setting up the new site in the LTVA(Tyson Wash) area...Headed south, take the TYSON WASH LTVA exit(right), go to the center main road(there are three branches, but the middle main one is correct)...it is 0.55 miles to the small trail to the left from the entry station...look for the pink surveyors tapes...follow that to the already visible Airstream gleam...you are there; we are here...join us...any time...there's room for several rigs...Permits are $40/2 weeks...$180/til April 15th...dump and water accessible with permit about 1 1/2 miles away, provided with permit for no extra charge...lots of NOTHING to do, as long as you want, but a lot of neat stuff to see...
I would like to extend my thanks to the 27 hosts that attended...it's the way a true rally occurs...someone picks a spot(Jimmini), everyone piles in, and the rest just happens...live music from Paul and Michael, FREE kazoos, campfires, food to slow down a Mongolian empire, Pancakes, EGGS BENEDICT(!!!), and the BEST:...a friendship and common ground not found anywhere else but 4CU...We're gonna remake this WBCCI into the roots...by example!!!...PeeWee, yer a banner, and a mark we strive for, in our slower way...we'll get there...maybe not by Cairo, but in spirit...
OK, Michael was the last to pull out today(besides us)...I picked up one handful of non-natural debris, thanks to Jimmini for raking out the not-unsubstantial amount of doggie poop from the 'landing platform'...thanks for the leftover firewood...won't burn nearly as much when it's me or 2 or 3...we have shrimp, cookies, muffins, and memories of all you folks we will cherish(ok, MAYBE we will remember all of this tomorrow, but 'maudlin' is "IN", isn't it...?
Seriously, we enjoyed it, and we're gonna do it again, next year...sorry 'bout the wind...outta my control...(what isn't???)...a typical mass involvement of a 4CU event...is anyone considering where we might host the not-to-far-away-to-occur International 4CU Rally...??? OPTIONAL WORKS!!!
Thanks to the officers of the unit that continue to deal with all that administrative cra*, and thanks, mostly, to all the members that make us the largest dysfunctional family in the world...wouldn't/couldn't have it any other way...
Thanks to, to the 'puter literate that were able to post pics...hope to see more...
More, maybe even TOMMOROW(!!!)
Just another 4CU rally...Ho Hum...
