I agree. Doug was a big help to me at the CBR, and I learned a few things.

Paul, I would like to propose potluck every night for those who want. I find the WDCU potlucks to be closer to a potlatch and, frankly it is the best part of the rally. I know everyone will not want to participate, but we sure would enjoy it.

I just made our reservations. We will be in Thursday afternoon/evening. My wife and I, as well as our eldest son, will be there. Our son is a junior in Electrical Engineering at Ohio State and is looking forward to some relaxation.
The last rally I attended was the international in N. Dakota in 1968...it has been a while :-)

He was especially sporting about me splashing him with water that Wednesday evening. I said, "Ready?" He said, "Yes." I had a feeling he wasn't actually ready, but I turned the water on anyway. Sorry Doug!
Of course, this was just a few minutes after I'd been splashed, so it was nice to spread around the cold water on a cool evening!

Us 15
Anyone know what US15 south of PA in Maryland and Virginia (15/29) is like for traffic and hills compared to I81.

US 15 is pretty much straight and level through MD all the way to the river as it follows aong the east side of the mountain. I don't know much about Virginia. Hope this helps...

Us 15
I take US 15 alot, picking it up just south of Harrisburg, PA down through Gettysburg and then into Frederick, MD. From there, it goes across the Potamac into Leesburg, Va and goes south. There is sometimes, depending on when you hit the area, alot of traffic in Leesburg. There is a nice outlet mall there in Leesburg as well. From there, picking up 15 south, it is a nice and rolling route down south all the way to Culpepper and then south of there you'll pick up a route to head over the hill. The hill is winding and you're going over the mountain so it's a good pull, unless you jump on I-66 when 15 gets to it. Overall, 15 is a great choice to bypass the mundane interstate.

An idea
I would take Rt.15 south down to Fredrick Md., then pick up Rt.340 south down through WV to Virginia. Continue Rt.340 south in Virginia until you get to Rt. 33 west(at Shenandoah, Va. I think) to Harrisonburg, VA. Take Rt.33 west to Harrisonburg, Va. and then pick up either I-81 south for the last 10 miles or at Harrisonburg, Va. pick up Rt. 11 south for the last ten miles. The campground is located of Rt.11.
Hope this helps. This would be a very pretty drive, but would take a little extra time.
