will they let us do a early checkin..or is there a place to pull in and out of the way? still being fairly new I like to be on the road early to avoid all you speed demons! Rubber on the asphalt 4am!

No problemo! Most of the Airstreams staying at Pismo SP North Beach are later model, so wouldn't fit in the Vintage Rally. It's basically one big rally anyway and folks will be going between the two campgrounds since they are right next to each other. You can walk next door and visit us at anytime and we will certainly come visit you! What site at Pismo Coast Village will you be staying?

They didn't tell me which space and it's not on the receipt. I guess I find out when I get there. I'll definitely walk over and visit. I'm in a 1964 22' Safari with a 1964 Lincoln as the tow vehicle.

I think they give you your site number when you check in at Pismo Coast Village, you can post it here after you check in and we'll come find you. We will have several friends in the show, and usually walk through the park every day.

Welcome, ranchoverde!

We're camping at Pismo State Beach, at the North Beach campground. Someone who knows more about the rally details will probably chime in later. It's an informal rally where you make your own reservations at the campground and then spend as much or as little time as you want to with the other Airstreamers.

I just checked ReserveAmerica and there don't seem to be any spots left for that weekend, but cancellations do happen. Keep checking the online reservation site for openings.

I'm on the Reserve America site right now and it looks like all the sites except the ADA sites are booked. There's still sites available at Oceano State Park which is approx. 2 miles south of North Beach. Not quite as convenient for meeting up, but the state park pass will get you access into North Beach For day use and the potluck.
As far as the rally goes they have a great vintage trailer rally next door at a private park called Pismo Coast Village RV Resort. They have open house on Saturday where you can tour the rigs. Great fun. Let us know if you have any other questions. Cris & Kimmy

We were at North Beach this past weekend and it was beautiful. I hope the weather is just as nice when we are there in May! Here's a couple of pics...

I just took a look at the aerial view of the two campgrounds next to each other. It's striking the difference between the state and the private. I think I prefer the space in the state campground, but at least this time I'm staying at the public RV park with the vintage trailers.

Totally agree! The vintage rally is the only time we actually would rather be in Pismo Coast Village than North Beach. Love the park, but it gets a little tight in there between two big ole fifth wheels.

Susan and I stopped by the North Campground yesterday to walk the dogs. It looks great. We hope to see everyone on our annual visit to the Vintage Rally.
