See you all at the rally!

Fridge on, check, groceries, check, table, check, warm clothes, check, money for Milo, check, appetizer for Friday happy hour, check,...I think we're just about ready to shove off early Friday morning. We should arrive around 3ish (that is, if we don't have to threaten our kids that we're going to pull over on the side of the road too many times.) My 4 year old cowgirl can't wait to be greeted by 7 foot cowboy!

Wishing everyone a safe and fun drive to the rally - we'll see you all there!

Thanks Laurel, We are leaving on Thursday afternoon and driving HWY 46 to Bakersfield for the night. We are staying at the Bakersfield Palms RV Park on Hwy 58 east and will probably meet Codybear and Myoung as they are both staying there that night too.

From there I was thinking about heading over through Tehachapi (snow permitting) to Barstow and down 247 to Yucca Valley. It's the back way so much less traffic and more scenic which is what we like, but a longer drive. Oh well it's a trade off.

laurel, debbie is correct. don't come into los angeles to take the 10. i live just south of ventura, look at the map. you will save time and better still your sanity (think bumper to bumper traffic). kevbo

Last minute space info

We will probably be moving a few folks so we can return unused spaces while still keeping our block SOB free. Saving everybody some $$$.

So before you go check the thread AND your PM"s and Emails.

I'm so eager to go I'd boondock out there Thurs night if I could!

Good morning all, there may be some confusion regarding blkcat1, Monica, & excella3287, Kip, we will be there. Looking forward to making new friends. Bringing 1 if not 2, need to finish polishing, firepits and a table. Might need help from the cowboy on getting into spot 86 on Friday. Our Airstream may not be ready by then however we do have a mh as a sub. Safe travels to all.

Space update

We cancelled #'s 76,77,174,175,176. All spaces at the end.

We don't show anyone claimed any of those. So don't park there please.

It looks like str8strm's site was deleted. This is what it looks lite to me at this time...
I am not sure about the orentation of the sites or if the numbers match up across the road...

I was trying to get a spot closer to the golf corse area for my dogs, but I am not real sure which direction that is. Where ever I park will be a great spot, Let's go camping!

I love you man!
I was looking to get closer to the field at the end of the park. I know my dogs want to chase golf balls!

To be honest, I am not sure which end is which. Maybe I am close now?
Could someone help?

Two other questions.
1. Does the park have wireless internet? I would normally not care, but I have a couple of ebay actions I am watching that end this weekend (Yes, more Airstream stuff)
2. Do they have TV hookups? (NFL Playoffs)

Next time can we wait until we get there to pick spots? It's hard to know what will work until you see the actual spot. Everyone has different set ups and different needs (equipment, kids, dogs, horses, fire dancers etc.)

We could annouce a block of site numbers for the group and then make it first come first served. It would be much easier to drive around and just pick an empty spot that works and claim it.
