Gettaway Day....
The time goes by fast when you have a good time. Jeff is already taking 'spot' requests for 2012. Later in the day a few sob's begin to fill in our empty sites but there are a few of us staying another day or two.

A terrific time!
Hello all,
Just want to thank everyone for the great time we had! Our first (of many more) Rally. Great time, no damage to the trailer or our first tow vehicle, wonderful companionship... I won't go on!
Anyway- thanks!

Hope I don't get in trouble for posting the following twice....here and on my thread..."The old girl needs new shoes".
This last weekend, The Bunny and I went to Jackson Rancheria Casino, for our very first "Free" Airstream rally. I say it was free, because there are no costs to attend, other than your RV site...and our RV site was discounted by $15, because of the group rate.
The best part of the rally was meeting the people... After following most of them on the forum, and talking to some on Threads. It was really nice to put a face to an Avatar! What a wonder group of folks! And the potluck on Saturday night was one of the best that I have ever attended.
The Bummer part of the rally was...The Bunny got sick, so Saturday night was a short night for us, and we didn't attend the campfire event on Saturday night....so if you have pics of the campfire that night. Please feel free to post a couple of your photos here. I really would like to see them!
PS, I won $500 the first night, so I want to thank Jackson Rancheria Casino for paying for our fuel, RV site, drink, and food during our stay at Jackson...and that is "The rest of the story", it was truly a "Free" rally for Trex and The Bunny.

Happy Columbus Day
Many of you are back on your jobs and in your comfortable homes.....and a few of us are still on the rally site. This morning we joined doorgunner, LL and Warbler5 for an 'Indian' breakfast but not before I held up the shuttle a bit to finish putting the convertible top back up. I put it down yesterday thinking the beautiful weather would carry on.

We had such a wonderful time at the Jackson Rancheria rally, which was our first. Unfortunately after a nap on Saturday afternoon, I awoke at 7pm sick with a terrible cold, and missed the pot luck. : ( What does one do with a Broccoli salad to feed 30 to 40? LOL
Fortunately, we got to meet several of the group before my fun was cut short. We enjoyed a fish dinner at the Rancheria with Tim and Ann. Wow! Crab, Shrimp, fish, yum! We will be having dinner there again on a Friday night in the future. We live very close, so I think we may even stay in the park again, just to get away.
Thank you to Franco and Patrick, who helped us with our awning on Sunday. Otherwise, we would still be there trying to get it back in place for travel! LOL
What a wonderful group this is. As newbies, Thank You for making us feel so welcome. We're looking forward to getting together with all of you again in the future.
Our Best, Patty and John

Hey everybody, hope we were not too noisy leaving this morning... Left late too, had to do the 30 minute "look for the truck keys" dance. Got home safe!
Also a hearty thanks to all who liked or purchased a poster from me. I am already thinking about Cassini and will add t-shirts to the menu!

It was a great time. Doorgunner's fire was a wonderful gathering spot and his diplomatic skills with overactive security personnel kept the evening on a high note. Bart and I had a wonderful time - swapping ideas and stories, enjoying the potluck and the after party at Doorgunner's. Our first NorCal rally was at Casini in the spring and it was great to meet up with new and old. What wonderful people!
I'm looking forward to these two wonderful rallies in the future. They mark the beginning and end of our 'streamin' season. Now it's time for winter season work on the fixes and features before spring camping rolls around again.
I have a bunch of pictures, some of them pretty nice firelight portraits, but I don't know all the names to go with the faces. As soon as we do a bit of family computer housekeeping, I'll put up a link. That way people can download their own if they want to.

I like the sound of that! They were all in the way when I was taking the picture of the whole group from on top of the hill. That place would look great covered in silver!
