Looks like it going to be a great rally. Sadly, Linda and I will be in Australia (without the Airstream) and wont be coming up, but hope to see you NorCal folks another time soon.

Sigh.. This job thing is really interfering with Forums and Airstream and other forms of recreation... All the toys are dusty and un-exercised...

Anyway, with all the new income, I will commit to pay for a spot in hard cash DG.. We will be off the web for a while, circling around through Arizona and planning to travel over Carson Pass on 88 from the East to get there, but expect to be in mid-afternoon Friday...

ok...if we are bringing surprise guests then add another space next to me...I will hopefully be bringing ,my trailer partner (Leo)with our new/old Avalair. It's a cross breed "they say" of an Avion and an Airstream. It's shiny and square and is our next Lounge project. Soooo if we get it finished we will have two Taverns on site...I am hoping everything will be working on both as DG needs a non-working vacation. I can also bring a drum and whistle... with enough drinks I'll try the percussion section!

Does anyone know what 49 between Jamestown/Sonora and Jackson is like? We'll be coming in from Tuolomne meadows on 120, hoping to go straight up to Jackson on 49. I seem to remember reading "something somewhere" warning against towing on some part of 49. Wish I'd saved it...

Yes, I have towed many times on hwy 49 from Sonora to Jackson. It is a good two lane highway, very scenic, easy driving. The hwy 49 you dont want to drive on is the other way from Sonora to Mariposa, very windy, slow. I have also towed on it!! Being from Fresno area, I have driven/towed hwy 49 all the way to Hwy 80, many times. Have fun, wish I was joining you folks, but, maybe next time.

A few on post #227 got bumped.
There is a remote possibility that if someone wished to join in the future that would be on a space available thing. This place has quickly become popular so that seems unlikely.
Hopefully I'll know what sites are assigned to us. Then I guess it's park where they want you to- more on that later. I've got a call in to Missy. Should have more info 2nite.
Janet-- as long as the road has asphault on it you should have no problems pullin that little trailer of yours around, of course you could let Terry drive the sections you feel uncomfortable with- I'm a safety guy you know that, like flames from a camp lantern tryin to set the campground into an inferno!!Don't worry your secret is safe with me!!

O.K. folks. Spoke with Missy this afternoon. Looks like there will be no problem getting the end group of sites.I indicated to her that this would be a great photo op for the Park. you know the airstream mystique thing, she agreed, so we'll see about that.

I'm also working on the early and late reservation thing for those that need them. I'll get to that later tonite.

Would the person that called the Rancheria and wants a spot close to the showers please PM me. There is some confusion as to if you may be getting 2 sites. Missy told me the last name, something like Venezuala or Velasquez. This minor glitch need to get fixed MOST RICKY TICK.AS I don't know a lot of last names I was without an answer.
