Thanks to Chuck and Skye for the keg. We will be contributing for sure! We will be coming in Thursday so we'll help with the welcome wagon (if there is one). Like I said before, it's our first rally or non-rally, and we are so excited.
Thanks for all the great ideas on the "dirty santa" gift. I have not found one yet but will by this weekend. Looking forward to meeting all of you and learning how to winterize Atlas, our AS!

Sorry I have to change my broccoli/chick/rice to turkey and stuffing casserole. Still bringing brownies (w/frosting) for frito pie night! And the flamingo gift is sparking my interest! I might have to go get one! Eric and I looking forward to meeting everyone, but we are really bad with names, especially since there seems to be so many people coming to the rally. Is the name tag idea a real thing? I could really use those

As of right now (8:45 AM December 6) there is one site at the Blanco SP available on the website.
The phone reservations at Austin open at 9:00.
The available site is a premium - water, electric, sewer.

Just checked the park and they said they have no sites available. If anybody has an update on cancelations let me know as we'd love to get in. Have yet to reserve elsewhere.

Just called Blanco Settlement, they have spot#19 available, no sewer tho.....

Ok folks, the "coffee" has been ordered and we will pick it up on Thurs. afternoon.
FYI, prices on this, like everything else, have gone up, the cost is $178.61. So, yes - donations will be appreciated! I will buy some red/green plastic cups, but if you want to bring your own, just remember that it should be opaque....park rules of no public consumption still apply...so we will do all we can to be discreet. Getting excited, wish we were leaving tomorrow instead of Thurs! See you all there....
PS, for those who would like something warm and with no alcohol, we are planning to have some spiced apple cider simmering most of the time, so come on by and warm up with that as well...

Fishin' at the park
The park is scheduled to be stocked with trout on Thursday December 8.
I'm pretty sure the park has "loaner" poles.
In years past a fishing license was not required for park campers.
Rules may have changed.

Blanco County has lifted the burn ban, effective 5 Dec.
The doesn't mean the town allows burning (Blanco Settlement is in the city limits, I'm pretty sure) and the SP isn't bound by the county's decisions either. The SP still shows the burn ban on their web page. I don't know if the town has its own ban or just goes by the county's ruling.

Spoke with the park @1:20pm. At this time, they are still under a burn ban, but it sounded like they were discussing whether to lift. I'll call back on Thursday to see if that has changed, or I invite you to call the park at (830) 833-4333

The rules at state parks allow fishing without a license within the boundaries of the park, if entry fee is paid.
