Here are a couple of Sisters on the Fly that we met up with at a TCT rally in Cottonwood, AZ earlier this year.

hey ladies, I'm back
After two weeks, I'm back from my travels and now resting from way too much work. Not complaining, but I just really missed getting to sit down and post and catch up with the thread. I now have time to revisit the posting of the pictures, especially the mystery photo which I must retrieve from my friend Eric's digital camera!! We were at the ranch for my 52nd (yikes!) birthday on the 28th and some of the cowboys from one of the other ranches came by for a cold one. They had never seen the subject of the "mystery" photo and they were really funny with it! OK now having said all that, I hope the photos turned out because ya'll are going to be mighty disappointed if they are not great, after all the hype I've been throwing out there!
Carol, can we talk about photo posting? I may need a little coaching......
I'll get back on the totes, too. Have a great weekend, one and all!
Nancy

Hey ladies,
Sorry to keep you in suspense over "the picture"..... I can't seem to figure out how to size the image to fit the required parameters, so i'm gonna have to get someone over here to walk me through this. Needless to say, I am not too computer savvy. Amazing how a machine can make one feel really stupid!! But I shall not give up!
Best,
Nancy

No worries. If you email the photo to me, I will size it for you and let you know how to do it in the future. Just send me an email by clicking on my name in the post (on the left) and choose "send email" from the drop down menu. You won't be able to add the attachment to that message but I will email you back with my email address so you can send me your photo.

Gosh, it looks like I have kept Nancy hanging, but I really haven't, really really, cross my heart
2 more weeks for the photo contest and no takers yet. Now I am sure you're gonna kick yourselves for not getting one of Nancy's totes. At this point you chances of winning are phenominal! Perhaps I made it too limiting, any picture will do, your choice.
Michelle and Suz are you two still considering a towing manual for us? Great idea!

Carol,
I am still interested in a towing manual but some review help would be nice. I do not know everything yet. That will probably take a lifetime.

There are some towing guides out there that may help you in your effort. Trailer Life magazine puts one out every year. Here is a link to their online edtion...
http://www.trailerlife.com/output.cfm?ID=1073737
Ford Motor also has a towing guide that is geared toward Ford Trucks, but has a lot of useful general information at the back of the guide...

photo!
Thanks, Yukiona; I emailed the photo to Carol (wheel interested) this evening, so hopefully she can re-size it and I can post it. Carol, you are fabulous, girl and you certainly have not kept me hanging!!!! I've been so busy with work, that I can't watch the thread as closely as I have in the past few months. So bear with me! My computer skills are poor....down here in Texas we call it "all eat up with the dumb-a**"

the photo!
Okay girls, here it is.... the mystery photo. It's my home on the range until the Bambi's pad and electric hookup are ready. Very mystical place in the middle of old Comanche Indian settlements which are located on my ranch property. Hope you like it!

Nancy you are waaay cool! No one could have guessed this mystery photo. That must be some ranch. We may have to wagon train. Beautiful shot with the clear sky and moon.
Slowolf thanks for posting those links. I took a quick peek at the Ford one at the back and I already found some information I had not been aware of. I'm going to print out some pages for reference and review. The Trailer life link looks like there is plenty to look at.

BTW, ladies, I don't live in the teepee. I actually live in Dallas. In a house! Sometimes I really wish, though, that I could go live in the trailer or the teepee and get out of this crazy city!

Towing Manual
Oh,dear! Ummmm,....I didn't exactly intend, nor am I qualified, to author and publish a Towing Manual. I was thinking of something much simpler. Just some written instructions along with a few pictures - mainly so Cupcake & Captain Midnight (Carbon Metallic GMC) remain a couple as I motor down the road! You know, like "Hitches for itches". I may need one for the awning too. I think the arms need cleaning & lubing on the inside as they work kinda hard. Oh, and I can't forget the poop shoot. I've never used the oven. Does anyone know about the pilot? See what I mean? *note to self: Towing isn't going to be the problem!! What a mess I am.
*note to everyone: even some of our seasoned forums members go through a check list before pulling out, which is a good idea we've never, as yet, implemented.
OK, enough already!

For your consideration A thought about manuals, rally gear, etc
Hi,
Just thinking about how many creative and great women with ideas there are in this thread! Take a bow sisters! The manual is a great idea, why not Suz? How about on a wiki page or something, I wonder if that's possible? Sister mods know if its doable?
Nancy be sure to tell everyone who painted that lovely tee pee, no need to be so modest!! I'm ordering a tote bag as well please.
About rally mementos... I was wondering about rally gear and how it would be possible to have fun mementos without a lot of work for the women who do it, or to even have it accessible online so that it could be easier yet. Does anyone have experience with cafePress.com ?Hereabouts, people have used it for fundraisers for schools, charities, you can even find the fleur de lis fundraiser for Louisiana there. I don't know all the details about it, just have heard that its a good way to get a logo or memento onto stuff ranging from mugs to tshirts. Clearly we wouldn't be fundraising-- just to have some cool stuff with 2007 Rivettes Doe Tow Rally on it, or whatever we will be calling ourselves (it is our prerogative to change our minds about our names at anytime )
Respectfully submitted
