Time is getting short, what is the menu? Friday? Saturday, is it a potluck, with bring your own meat and a dish to pass?
Friday, was once a soup with everyone putting something in the pot, but who is. Ringing the pot?
We will e out of town and heading to MV. Need to know.

My new wife and my old Airstream 345 motorhome plan to attend
If the old girl (motorhome) can make the trip
We have reserved the sight 014
We do not have a kayak.
just going to meet some fellow airstreamers and enjoy some hotdogs over the fire.
So I have a few questions
First of all will there be any Classic motorhomes going to the fall rally?
Also would like to know if anybody has suggestions on what rout I should take coming from the Chicago aera (o hare)
I'm worried about construction and not having any emergency lane to pull of on in case of trouble
I90 going west from my house I consider unusable there's at least 30 miles of 2 lane concrete barrier with NO emergency lane I don't even like taking it with my daily driver much less a 31 year old RV down that death trap
I figure my choices are
294 south to 55 to near the park... Or
Should I try to get on 39 south and take it down
Hoping to get down there sometime Friday evening.
Thanks for the response I've gotten
Still open to suggestions

Steve on the 18th said potlucks Friday and Saturday night, and he seem to be running this shindig.....so why don't we just plan on those?
I don't know what I will cook yet, but I will cook something.
We are going to have perfect weather, looks like.

maccamper Jambalaya
maccamper is fixing jambalaya for Saturday's potluck. Not sure yet what we'll fix for Friday. The jambalaya includes rice, tomatoes, shrimp, chicken, andouille sausage .... We've always fixed it in our Dutch Oven and plan to do the same on Saturday.

I had been thinking about N'awlins Chicken and Rice, so I will do that Saturday as it will pair well with Jambalaya.
I am going to do Pumpkin Pudding in the crockpot for Friday night...with whipped cream.
I am still planning on bringing Molasses Crinkles.
Maybe something else, too......that's as far as I can think right now.

I just got back from a nice week in Wisconsin with family. Do we have a rally coming up or something?
This is a pretty informal rally with the only planned activities being Friday and Saturday evening potlucks and lots of campfire.
The weather looks beautiful and I saw quite a bit of fall color in the Peoria area when driving through.
Here's what I've gathered from previous posts for the potlucks.
- Knunuts Friday: chili, Saturday: meatballs
- Pickles Friday: Cheese fondue, Saturday: Dip your own caramel apples then roll in lots of goodies.
- maccamper Saturday: crock pot jambalaya
- Lily&Me Friday: Crock Pot Pumpkin Pudding, Saturday: N'awlins Chicken and Rice
- TinLoaf Friday: Apple cake, Saturday: Dutch oven lasagna.

Drop beef sliders for FridayWb
We're planning to fix a pot roast for Friday night for drop beef sliders with a choice of mustard or horseradish sauce.
Saturday we'll fix the Dutch Oven Jambalaya.
nancy mac
So make that "drip" beef not "drop" beef!! don't know where the "wb" came from! big fingers -- little iPhone!

Hello all!
I'm brand-spankin new to this AirForums/Airstream business, and I live in the Peoria Area. I couldn't help but overhear that y'all are having what sounds like a delicious potluck and I will bring some cookies (probably chocolate chip) I really would like to attend the Rally just to meet some cool new people and check out your silver homes on wheels. I would like to hear everyone's stories and see the actual inside of an Airstream without all the pressure from a dealer. I'm just looking and educating myself right now, because I am starting to do Travel Nursing and am considering Airstream for living options for me and my dog.
Would you mind if I crashed your Rally?

Hey there, nursenat!
You just bring yourself and your dog over to our rally during all or part of it. We would love to have you and you will learn a lot.
Saturday would be a good day to come, as everyone will be there by Friday night, but if you have a tent or a vehicle you can sleep in the back of you can come whenever you like and rough it.
There are hot showers there, you could buddy up on my site or another that has extra room.
Or, just come whenever.
We will look forward to meeting you.
Maggie

Cookies are baked, bread is cooling and looks yummy.
Loading things up, should be out there mid day and waiting on the rest of you.
I grabbed the bottle of Jameson and will pick up a couple of lemons, so we can do hot whiskey these cold evenings coming up.
See you soon
