We’re back again for our Fall Gathering in Northern Illinois on October 8-11.

The campsite is the Pecatonica River Forest Preserve in Pecatonica Illinois between Rockford and Freeport.
This is a great little County park featuring good-sized wooded grass and gravel sites with 30 amp electric. There are a number of water hydrants around the park to fill up your tanks if necessary.
The rolling hills usually have a good color to them this time of year. Be sure to check out the campground link on the Rally page for more info.
We’re planning a Wine and Cheese style appetizer dinner on Friday night. Saturday will be our famous potluck. As usual, provide your own meat and bring a dish to pass
Plenty to do during the day with bike trails, antiques and shopping in Rockford and Freeport, or head down to the river for some fishing or a picnic.
Hope to see all the old friends and make new ones.

Humm; Two apple orchards , Fossel Ridge Winery and Monroe cheese near-by. Sounds like fun. That on Friday and the usual potluck on Saturday. There willl also be the bottomless coffee pot on the fire. A run to the orchards also results in FRESH HOT Apple donuts.

Hey Tedd if you need help Tom will be able to come as we discussed at the air condition installing.
Remember Friday will be an appetizer evening. Please bring an appetizer that you would like to pass. Also Saturday will be the potluck dinner at 6:00. Please bring you meat cooked and a dish to pass. A sign up sheet will be posted shortly.

We’re two weeks out from our Fall Rally and things are coming together.

As you know we’re planning a simple appetizer dinner for Friday night. With some arriving later in the day, or after work, it’s a nice way to settle in for a quiet weekend.
Sue’s planning on making mini meatballs, spinach bars and setting out some assorted cheeses and crackers.

I’ve found a truly Vintage appetizer to have some fun with. An early, if not original, Chex Mix recipe from 1952. Nothing seems more Airstreamy than this classic in it’s original form. I might rummage around in my mother’s recipe box and find some other treasure from the Vintage era.
Let us know if you want to add to the list of goodies.
I haven’t seen the weather forecast yet but it appears to be seasonal weather coming up. No snow yet.

Potluck on Saturday. Please provide your own meat and a dish to pass.

Weather is looking great for our get together.
Will be nice to see old friends and make some new.
Tom and I will be arriving on Thursday afternoon.
Friday nite will be a wine, cheese and appetizer get together for those interested. PLease bring an appetizer or two to pass.

Saturday Nite will be a potluck. Please have you meat cooked and a dish to pass.

Looks like we will be bringing Little smokies in chili sauce for Friday evening. I know with the kiddies there will be plenty of wine.....

Half of the interior skin is in! Changing out the bath end cap tonight. Out with the yellow in with the turquoises. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Mike, there will be some aluminum tape on the trailer just for you.

It's not too late to join a friendly group of Airstreamers for our fall get together. We are starting ut with wine and cheese and snacks on Friday folowed by pot luck on Sat and good old visiti around the campfire with a bottomless pot of coffee on the fire. There will probably be the side trips to dollar general and flea markets etc. Hope to see you there.

Please note that it was called a "Rally" before all the BS about liability insurance and the such. From now on, we will have a get together where Sue and Tom, Tedd and Lori and Dana and I and several others will announce where we will be camping on a particular week-end. If any other Airstreamer wants to join, the more the marrier.

Mostly loaded and ready to go. Will be heading out Thursday by noon. Hope I have remembered everything, hope I packed enough food!
