Sitting up here on top of A section waiting for things to happen, It's quite with 3-4 other silver campers.Bring a jacket as the wind blows off the lake and up this hill. Leaves are turning and North Ga is a great place to be. See many of you soon. Gene

Trailer is mostly packed - truck is ready, tires checked, tank full, hitch is on and ready to connect in the AM. Layla has a test and we will pick her up at 0900. Mapquest says it's 8 hours 43 minutes - so my estimate is we arrive at 1930 - with as few bathroom stops and fuel stops (hopefully they will match up this time). See you all soon. The Clancy_boy clan is on the road.

A family friend died unexpectedly and we will not be able to leave town until after his funeral tomorrow night, so we will be in late Friday.

As of 10PM Thursday there were approximately 10 Airstreams that came in and set up earily. The traffic is light over the mountians, the air is cool and crisp, the leaf colors are in full change, and the camp fire was warm.

We'll be heading out around 3:30. My sister has decided to join us. She said 6 hours wasn't too far to drive to camp for the weekend! I didn't tell her that we would have around 100 friends camping with us! Tee Hee.

We are leaving as soon as we finish getting the kids fed, I know it will be very dark! Anyone know what tine the gates close? We would be horrified not to get in in time!  I think it is about 2 1/2 hours. pray they do not give our spot away!!!!

I checked on the gates 'cause Susan and the kids are going to be late as well. The gates don't close. So y'all should be good. Safe travels.

Well, yer not supposed to. Although I see a couple of people got, um, creative, and brought those small potable "fire pits" with them. Security must be at dinner.

Let me correct that, you're not supposed to in Area A, some areas do allow fires. Sorry about that.
