Sounds like a lot of impromptu FUN!! Newport is one of our favorite places - haven't been there for about 10 years. Time to explore the area again.

Hi Gerry & Carolyn,

Glad you're bringing your '75 22'er Argy! I'd like to see another 22' Argy, since we're taking our '77 22'er to Africa. Maybe get some ideas! We'll try to bring our Argy too. It's ready for Africa! As for the amps and electric bass. You might want to pm or email Janet......cuz (depending on the sound level) I don't think the park will allow the electric bass and guitar sound levels. I hope I'm wrong. Last year I brought my amp and mic and we didn't use it. Acoustic guitar is the best and of course string bass will do just fine.

Looking forward to meeting you both!

Bob & Susan,

Glad you'll make this one.....it all started here at BB in 2004! BTW I thought I saw some aliens entering your solar panel in Trout Lake one morning, since we were your neighbors. You might want to check your solar panels before using them the next time!

BBIV - another 22' Argy

Jim & Cheryl,

Yes, will be fun to compare notes on the 22' argys - we recently bought ours - it was pretty much original i.e. no 2 X 4 construction to undo! We've been upgrading the electrical, water heater, furnace, for safety sake. Also, discovering a lot of things about the trailer. Don't know if we're quite ready for Africa . . . sure will be for OR!

Both of our instruments are acoustic/electric - Gerry has an archtop & my bass is acoustic with piezo pickup. So, the amps are more to enhance the sound (although we can play unplugged). We play mellow jazz as well as a few of the "oldies" that we fondly refer to as good time "geezer rock."

We were at Cassini several years back at a VAC rally - we played until the 10PM quiet hour - great fun!

See you there!

Gerry & Carolyn

Glad Jim Emailed me!

WOW,

I have been snowed under at work and away from the Forum awhile, I sign up early last year and now I am scrambling to get in, We took G1 for us and got H26 for our friends (SOB's, but they are good cooks). So count us in for Rick and Paula (and Murphy the dog) and our friends Mo and Don of Seattle. Paula is total up for the Lasagna Smackdown. Sunday, Ham, what no Bacon??? We will bring dogs and buns for Friday and Fruit for Sunday too.

Look forward to seeing all of you, and hope the coons don't get us. As for the Airstream, there is plenty of work needed this summer to get her into Good Camping condition, but we will be there rain or shine.

Best Rick and Paula

This might not affect the rally, but FYI we were just in loope E and although it was very quiet, we did notice some pretty significant bridge/roadwork happening on the main highway going into the campground. In fact they were discounting the closest loops to the work (A and B loops) 50% because of the noise.
Hopefully all will be resolved before the elite Airstream group arrives.:

Rick & Paula,
Glad you're going to make this year's BB. Look forward to seeing the progress you've made on your AS! We'll have to get Jonathan to trap those coons before we arrive so we don't have to worry about 'coon raids'

Bill & Jenny,
Look forward to seeing you both at BB. Will you bring your Argosy? Did you get the grey tank issues resolved? You could caravan down with Bob & Susan in an Argosy Caravan to BB!

Don't forget to sign-up in the "who's attending" list located here:
http://www.airforums.com/forums/cale...&day=2007-9-28!

With your two units, I think that makes 48 units attending! Wow!!..... is this a record for a forums rally?

OK folks, I've updated posts 2 and 3 with the latest bunch of additions. If you have reserved your own site and don't see it listed in post 3, please Pm with site number so we know where to find your trailer!

How many buckets of Walbern do you s'pose it takes to do 48 trailers....?

trading spaces

Just the space, not the house. We are bringing a couple little girl grandkids and they have expressed to me that they would like to have the creek in the back yard,[closer to the racoons I suspect]..So I am wondering if any one in spaces---G-11,G-13,G-14,G-16,G-18,or G-20 would like to trade us for our reserved H-10.It's a 58 foot pull thru' accross the loop from these mentioned. We have it for Friday,Saturday,And Sunday nites. Butch

We'll do it!

Butch & Beth,

We'll be happy to trade spaces with you. We're in G18 now and will take your space in H10. Janet......will you make the appropriate changes in the roster of parking assignments?
