Just picked it up today! Pictures are up, check it out.
I kept promising to post the pictures, so they're finally up and you can all see what we bought. We haven't cleaned it or done anything other than bring it home, put it in the driveway and take some pictures. All of the outside pictures were taken by the PO. It's cold and snowy here so we'll wait to try out the awnings for ourselves.
After looking it over again, we love it even more than we did the first time we saw it!
Wow; it looks great!!!! Bet you can't wait till spring

I trust my new furnace completely but I don't trust my knees. It pays not to give too much credit to anything almost 40 years old (I wish... . I said 'almost'!).
Yeah, and that square thing on the counter is a CRT television -- rare as hens' teeth.
Sorry if my post seemed overexcited. A W-D hitch was already mentioned as thrown in. I just meant to point out that every $100 bill saved becomes more important every day in this declining economy.

I agree. The PO threw in so many extra things that we would have had to buy otherwise. The TV, a DVD player, a portable heater, the ground cloth and tarp for under the awning, a memory foam topper for the bed, 3 neon flamingo lights?? an old airstream salt and pepper shaker, a 30amp cord converter. All of those are things we didn't have to buy. That's probably at least $200 right there. For those of us not rolling in the dough that is a nice bonus!

Also the additional items included on the trailer such as the awnings, wood floor, new tires and Carrier Ac would have have cost you several hundred dollars. So you really came out ahead.
On the carrier AC if it is not already connected to the old interior drain line from the ordinal AC there is a way to do this to keep the water from running down the side of the trailer. Pretty simple to do and cost just a few dollars. If you need more details let me know.

I enjoyed your post -- and all the tag-a-longs that came with my '74 Argosy. A blue boy. A roaster oven we still use in the house. The cup measure that travels with us. A man's wedding ring (I couldn't trace the original owner).
The furnace is newer and works. If you look closely, there's two "suburban" exhausts to the left of the door on the curb side. The newer furnace required a new exhaust ??? I didn't ask, just noted and moved on. The PO really did take great care of it, improved and repaired many things, and was very straightforward with us with respect to what still needed attention.
We truly got lucky and are very thankful. Even if we have to put $2000 into it over the next couple years, it's worth it all. All the little extras make the journey to getting camping ASAP much easier and quicker. I wish Bo was a member of these forums so he could see how thankful we are. He knew he gave us a good deal, he knew he was doing us a favor or two. I guess it was a good to find someone that was completely getting out of camping to buy a camper from. Although, Bo said he thinks he'll regret it later having sold it. I assured him that there's other vintage Airstreams out there, and he said, "yeah, but none like this at this price." Seemingly so true.
Wow, and it came with a cute, small dog too. Mine came with two dogs, but then it's 31ft long so I guess that length comes with two and the 27ft comes with just the one.
