Where (Dealers) to buy used in Nevada, Arizona ish

Hello, I am interested in a Airstream Interstate around 2002-2006 with the bed setup in rear. Are there any fair priced dealerships to get one on payments in the Nevada, Arizona area?

Thanks

The 2004-2007 T1N Interstates are so rare on the resale market that I would advise you to keep your eyes open nation-wide. I know of only two on the market right now (although local private sales of the type that are harder to track are probably quite common). Just to give you an example, we live in Houston and bought our 2007 in Memphis.

As for financing potential, I cannot speak to that. Most of the resale market transacts in cash.

I was typing on my phone when I wrote that post above, so let me elaborate, just in case you are serious about this search and want some opinions on how to go about it.

I've been informally tracking T1N Interstate and Parkway re-sales since some time in 2015. Among those advertised nationally on the most common sites such as eBay and RVTrader, I haven't seen more than 20 new listings per year, in total. Going back to about May of 2016, here are the locations where I've seen listings originate (omitting scam listings, which do occur): FL, IL, OH, FL, AZ, AZ, FL, CO, FL, GA, MS, CA, NC, FL, NV, TX, WA, FL, FL, OK, NE, IN, CA, MD, CA, MS. So you can see that there's not much in the way of pattern or geographic concentration.

Of the major national sites, only RVTrader is listing one of these for sale right now (here).

I don't rigorously keep up with the local and regional dealers whose ads are more limited, as they are more difficult and time-consuming to search. But if you are interested in doing that, here are a few big ones that I recommend:

1. Arbogast in Ohio (big Airstream dealer)
2. Sunshine State RV in Florida (they specialize in Class Bs)
3. PPL in Texas (for the sheer volume of used units that they sell)

Right now, of those three, the only one with an Airstream Class B for sale is Sunshine (here).

Hope this helps.

Hey thanks) Yes I am serious and I have flown many times to buy cars, trucks and motorcycles. Never had an RV yet but this one looks good. That Gulfstream cruiser model seems similar. Is one better? The Airstream looks better. I will go anywhere but at least prefer the west 50% of USA. I will check out your info. Thank you)

Rear sleepers are hard to find. But I think the best layout (of course, just personal opinion)

I paid a premium for one, it also has very low miles, in superb condition and lots of extras. I traveled to the Bay Area for the Northwest Corner of Northwest Washington.

We have discussed this one:

https://www.rvtrader.com/listing/200...EXT-5001770811

It has a ‘rebuilt’ title- but a very good price.
I would check it out at the very least.

Another site to watch is this one:

http://www.viewrvs.com/

It's a confusing site because they archive photos of Airstream and other motorhomes that are not currently for sale. But other Airstream owners have given it a good review for sales transactions. If you look at their Class B section, a number of T1N Interstates were reportedly sold via the site in the past.

Thanks,

I saw this site but it has nothing current: http://www.mhsrv.com/2006-airstream-...-b-tx-i1922428

Also so many fakes on craigslist it's useless.

Don't totally discount Craigslist. I agree there are alot of scams. I was pretty sure the ad I responded to was a scam but it turned out to be a legit deal and i couldn't be happier.

That is the mid-sleeper though.
I’ll keep my eyes open locally too.

There’s also Colonial but when we were shopping, I found that their new T1N listings tended to sell faster than I could dial the telephone.

Why are these rare used? Low production numbers? I guess I will call a few places and see if I get any ideas where to find one.

Low production numbers, yup. Airstream does not release actual numbers, but they can be inferred from general data and especially from recall notices, which often state the number of units affected by the recall and the production interval over which they were made (which allows us to do some basic math).

Somewhere I have the results of an estimate I made several years ago... if I unearth that, I'll post here. When I look right now on Google, I get swamped with NCV3 recall links rather than T1N-related info.
