Matching plywood ?

Could anyone please point me to where I could buy matching plywood to make some new cabinetry that will match airstreams cabinets ? We have walnut cabinets in a grand tour 2016. Thanks in advance. Cameron.

Most cabinetry is high gloss Wilsonart laminate. Lowes or HD will special order a sheet (usually 36" or 48" x 96") for you. A pint of contact cement and a bunch of foam brushes are all it takes to laminate one or both sides of 1/2" or 3/4" plywood. Most of the interior is 1/2", laminated on both sides. Trim the parts with an edge router.

You can actually order sheets of pre-laminated ply from Airstream, but I would hate to guess at the shipping and handling cost. Part numbers in the parts manuals at Airstream.com.

The only place I could find matching edge binding was from the Airstream factory, ordered through my dealer. You can get the binding part numbers from the parts manuals. The binding was very reasonable, but the shipping and handling was sky high. I used contact cement to attach my edge binding.

Asian night laminate is the match to those of us with walnut cabinetry. I ordered a 3' X 8" sheet from Home Depot because I didn't need the larger 4' X 8' sheet. Lowes only carried the larger one!

FWIW, someone posted that Wilsonart discontinued production of the glossy laminate in October.

I used spray adhesive to hold the laminate and added it to our 80/20 storage cabinet which is behind the drivers seat in place of the 2nd row captain chair. Now we have a space for our cooler and 2 storage containers as well as a vertical compartment for our front solar shades and other 36" length items.

Aplogies to CAMERONS - I realize the thread is about plywood for cabinetry & I have nothing to contribute. But I just have to say RIGRAT 80/20 cabinet is one nice looking cabinet. I could only wish my entire AI cabinetry is made of 80/20.

Thanks for everyone’s help

The wilsonart number for a 2016 airstream interstate GT is 7943 Columbian walnut in high gloss. If you email canadasamples@wilsonart.com with a picture of your cabinets they will email the next day with their color number.

Wilsonart gets a ten for service. Airstream not so much, however at least airstream answered my email this time. (Seems if I email airstream about buying something they reply within a day. If it’s a technical issues they take a very long time to answer. So far still waiting over a month for a reply on my unsecured plumbing and failed tank heating pads)
