Pets are the family we choose- or do they choose us? Either way, losing a family member and friend is difficult and I am very sorry for your loss. I hope that you will take comfort in time knowing she is still with you in your stories, your pictures and most importantly in your heart.

Abby Sleeping Sitting Up
This past fall we took the SOB Motorhome on a trip to Yellowstone. Towed a Jeep and took it out each day. Abby went with us at 13 months old and as you can see got very tired. I was taking pictures of an Elk and when I came back to the Jeep she was in my seat and really asleep. I had to wake her up.

M.hony..........So sorry for your loss, I share your pain. But you provided such a great life, she was loved and happy. I rescued another doggie when my last one passed cuz I was so sad, that helped me, maybe it can help you as well. So many doggies need loving homes. You will feel better with time......

We will adopt another black cat maybe in the fall of 2015. I want our daughter to graduate nursing school, pass the boards, get a job, get a place, and get her furniture and dog out of our house, and then we'll get another cat from the Humane Society.

I've found that dogs love to be in the center of activity. Mine check on what I am doing at regular intervals if I am doing a project of any sort.

Our guy and girls on their first visit to the trailer. They have done two nights at Sebastian Inlet for a "pet shakedown" then 5 nights at Alumalina, two nights at Top of Georgia, two nights at Stone Mountain, GA, and a final night at Little Talbot Island. They love riding in the truck and hanging out in the trailer!

She was so laid back and trusting with us. She was the only cat I've ever had that would let me touch her ears. They felt cool and like velvet. I loved that feel. I loved the way her ears felt on my face when she nuzzled. I miss her running into the closet whenever it was opened. I miss her sitting there meowing when I get out of the shower. I miss her patiently waiting for me in the hall and then trying to predict where I was going and running ahead of me and jumping on the couch or bed. I actually miss cat hair on my clothes. A house is not a home without a cat. The litter box and food and water bowls are stored for the next cat. She is buried under the west window she liked to sun in.

If Aurora was here now, she'd be right next to me or in my lap kneadin' an' purrin' or buntin'. She was so spoiled, but I was too- She was such a good kitty-

She still is. It is so sad to read about your loss, it is obvious that pets touch us all in special ways. Cats seem to choose us while we often choose a dog. I am lucky to currently have 3 cats and 2 dogs, and while all are special and dear it is Mario Le Mew that knows when to jump in my lap while I'm reading the paper compalining about the headlines so I'll rub his head - forgetting about the Bozos in Washington. Another one will find you soon.
