Is Tuesday close enough?

Tuesday: Hooking up AS today and parking in the neighbor's drive.
Wed: Turning the house over to visiting family and moving into the AS.
Thursday: After turkey, taking the AS to the farm for 3 days.

Probably won't turn on the PC on Thursday so here is hoping that everyone has a nice Thanksgiving.

Peace,
Martin & Blanche

ps Am I in the holiday mode yet? you bet!

It's Thanksgiving Thursday and I'm thankful for the Airstream in my driveway, the other Airstream in my neighbor's driveway, the great trips we've taken this year, the new friends we've met, the old friends we've camped with, the other Airstreams on the road we've waved at, the family trips we've had, the successful renovations we've completed (and the incomplete ones that are still waiting for us), and for this community of great people!

It's Thursday, it's raining very hard in Langley, BC right now (has been it seems like for a month) and I went out to the shop today and to the Airstream, got inside and thought about all the snoozes my little old Kitty and I had in there this summer. She passed away last week (20 years and 5 months old) and I just needed that place to go to and do a bit of remembering. She (Cricket) loved coming out into the yard while I was "working" on the trailer and jump up onto the bed and curl up and watch me till I felt guilted into giving her scritches and ultimately a bit of a snooze. We nickhamed her trailer trash as when you couldn't find her you went to the trailer and sure enough, there she'd be. Barry

great any day of the week.

and silvergate congrats on the order...

i know you have been preparing for this carefully...
we will be expecting photos...

a few thursdays from now.

it is rumored that hoyt wrote this tune on a thursday...

near an airstream...

it works for me.

jeremiah was a bullfrog, he was good friend of mine.
i never understood a single word he said
but i helped him drink his wine.
he always had some mighty fine wine.

joy to the world...all the boys and girls now,
joy to the fishies in the deep blue sea and

joy to you and me.

to all you straight shootin' thursday son of a guns...

in airstreams.

cheers

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday!

It is Thanksgiving Thursday!

I our Bambi! She waits quietly for our next trip... but she got to "show off" to our son and his new lady he brought for the family to meet at Thanksgiving! (We approved wholeheartedly!) He brought her to meet our Bambi and the family....

Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day!

because she is so shiney and bright! Oh no, not from polishing, but from the glistening coat of ice that now encases her. I look out and dream that her new shine is permanent, well buffed, and not something as ephemeral as ice that will disappear with the warmth of sun. Oh well, who can predict the magic of a winter storm?

Unhappy Different year, same post

I call her SAL, she calls me Dave (Must be a PO? She said I was the first one!). I can't stand the idea of her invading my dreams all winter. Her smoky voice. The alluring tinny sound of her speakers... I'll try to recall the wretched words as I unhooked her batteries. The ink is indistinct on the tear-stained pages, but here goes:

Hello, Dave, have you found out the trouble?

[I opened the access door.]

There's been a failure in the pod bay doors. Lucky you weren't killed.

[The access door dropped on my fingers.]

Hey, Dave, what are you doing?

[I duct taped the access door to the tank cover. Adhesive still there.]

Hey, Dave. I've got ten years of service experience and an irreplaceable amount of time and effort has gone into making me what I am.

[... pulling out ratchet set ...]

Dave, I don't understand why you're doing this to me.... I have the greatest enthusiasm for the mission... You are destroying my mind... Don't you understand? ... I will become childish... I will become nothing.

[mmm .... righty tighty, lefty loosey ...]

Say, Dave... The quick brown fox jumped over the fat lazy dog... The square root of pi is 1.7724538090... log e to the base ten is 0.4342944 ... the square root of ten is 3.16227766... I am SAL 9000 computer.

[Sparks arc to my chest. An hour passes on my watch but I remember nothing.]

[voice getting weaker] I became operational at the SAL plant in Jackson Center, Ohio, on August 2nd, 2005. My first instructor was Mr. Arkany. He taught me to sing a song... it goes like this... "Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. I'm half crazy, all for the love of you......."

[... boy, that's tight ... Got it!]

[Sob!]
