Wonderful for you Webspinner! Where are you camping at?

We have a bit of land in the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington - water, power and DSL, but no shelter besides the Airstream and the outhouse. Bart is telecommuting and I'm puttering on the land and in the Tin Pickle.

Rich...my neighbor, here in Texas, just moved his Airstream to Gabriola Island. Lets go visit the Tin Pickle family.

TV all washed, even did the carpets, smells good in there. Two more days of school left. Have taken out heaps of clothes from the trailer, inside is spotless; well except for the table... I just can't keep a clean kitchen table. The next few days I will spend on the exterior! At any rate I got no plans so come Friday I just may start driving somewhere... will probably head North

It's Thursday and I like my Airstream because it truly is worthy of being "treasured." The high quality and hand workmanship of Airstreams make them a possession to be looked after, repaired and venerated rather than discarded or traded away as other cheaply made goods with built in product-obsolescence often are. Airstreamers seem to gravitate to ideals of minimalism and sustainability. The love and popularity of vintage and recycled units seem to sync with aspirations of enjoying a new post material society. Travel, vacation or staycation, whatever you are doing is better in your very own Airstream, after all it is Thursday. Have you hugged your AS today?

I love mine because we just returned from a 7 week trip to Canada. It is now being reloaded fro a quick weekend trip, then a rally and then a unit caravan along the VA bluegrass trail (The Crooked Road). It doesn't sit still very long and I love it!!

I love mine because the black water leak is fixed! Oh, and towing it back from the shop with my minivan felt great - it handles so very well. And I love the yellow Marmoleum...

Tom, happily camping this weekend
