On the way there I saw a 50 somthin Sparton Mansion! Too Kool

The only thing to do is get the keys, verify the original interior, and then complete the following..

1. Tell him you might know some people who'd pay as much as $500 for the Argosy, maybe a little more..
2. Post E-mail address and phone number of seller here on Forum
3. Take a few more pictures for the doubtful ones..
4. Stand back and let the games begin...

You just have many more interesting and larger back yards than we do in California.. Very few folks here in occupied portions of Kahleefornia have enough room in back yard for kiddy pool, much less an Argosy AND a Spartan Mansion.... (Sigh..)

What's that parked next to the Argosy? Looks vintage aluminum...

Thanks,

Steve

Not the spartan, that was in another yard down the road a piece. Not sure, did not have time to check it out this trip. Tomorrow I'll look at that one too. Sad state tho... Poor ole thing....

Question Saw Two of em!

Ooh Ooh, I saw an old Airstream too, right here in Virginia Beach, and another in a campground just over the NC border in Knotts Island - It obviously belonged to a long time WBCCI member - there were ghost numbers and SIX stars or their ghosts. That's 30 years of membership by my reckoning.

I got the serial number off of the one in Va Beach. It had an Overlander tag, and another plate that said:
D56 CD
Land Yacht
I27-D4J-2614
Someone who's conversant want to decode it for us? Owner might be interested in selling. It's been sitting for almost 20 years. Green moss on outside, black mold on inside.

EEEWU!

Got one o'them Spartons near me. Data plate says it's a '49. Bubba only wants $2500 for it. And it is in really, really bad shape, but probably salvageable, believe it or not.

Finally got to look at the interior.

Looks like raccoons have been using it for a club house. Lotas damage to the walls. Plastic pieces either broken of missing. Refrigerator gone. Butchered wall where they put in a microwave. Most the storage door latches broken. Gaucho torn out. AC leaks (pouring out here) Floor had some kinda tile on it. All in all it a basket case...

They wanted $1200, offered $500, Lucky they declined!

I couldn't believe someone would actually leave a place like that. It was amazing (scary to) It does look like the bubba’s use it for a party shack… It’s a shame…….

Oh well. Never hurts to look!

I'm shocked that they didn't pay you to take it away, let alone pass on your offer.
