6 Metre

Does any one know if the '77 6 metre's had the couch option?
Mine has the dinette and it's ok but i like the sofa, thats what my '78 27' twin has in it. We had a '74 24' twin and it had a dinette, it was a good trailer but when i got the chance to move up to the 27' i did.

Hello ARGOSYCAMPER -- the closest I can get is overlander64's posting several Argosy brochures at

Note the details for the 20-footer layouts in the 4th & 11th images on the page. To my reading and interpretation, the Argosy line was all about limiting options and making a simple, affordable build for families. I don't think they'd have offered much more than what you see. That's a starting point until we might hear from the true experts (or rather expert ... Kevin?).

6 Metre Minuet

The choice between front lounge and dinette was probably the only major floor plan difference that was offered as an option on the 6 Metre. It was a $50.00 upgrade/option on the 6.0 Metre to obtain the dinette -- the lounge was standard. My Minuet has the front lounge, and it really helps to make the 6.0 Metre seem roomy.

The photo below is of my Minuet's front lounge prior to the interior refurbishment -- the burnt orange check is the original upholstery -- if it weren't for sun degradation along the tops of the cushions, the upholstery wasn't bad for a 26 year old coach (this photo was taken shortly after my purchase).

The lounge construction on the Minuet is very different from that used in my '64 Overlander -- virtually all of the framing and most of the structure is aluminum -- it does have a very sturdy feel in day-to-day use.
