Thumbs up Found a '66 or '67 Overlander for sale

I found this Overlander for sale in Charlotte IA today. It's a '66 or '67 with the square Corning windows, all intact. It's a side double-bed rear bath model. The interior is in nice condition, and appears to be original green period upholstery in good condition. The water heater appears to be a more recent replacement Atwood. There is a patch on one segment panel in the front, and there are the few usual rock dents below the beltline. The trailer is in overall good to excellent condition. Presuming that the plumbing, electrical, and appliances are in working condition, it is in useable condition. The tires appear to be fair. There was no price posted, but the phone numbers are: (563)677-9931 or (563)249-1261. I'll attach a few photos. My appologies about the quality of the interior photos, but I was shooting through dirty windows and window screens in fairly bright light. It was the best I could get.

Happy Hunting!

Roger

Talking Gracias!

Just bought a GT and happy with it, but it is great to see that folks are still nice and considerate of others. Thanks for taking the time to take pics, as some of us who have been looking for an air, do not have eyes in your location. Good karma to you.!

Thanks!

It's my pleasure. It only took a few minutes, and I enjoyed looking at it. I hope someone who's looking for one can make use of it.

RE Photo #2

The cushions are identical to the ones in my '67 Overlander, and I noticed it appears to have a replacement A/C unit (cowling is different).

In photo #2, does anyone know what that "thing" is mounted above the curb-side stop/tail light? It does not appear to be a sticker, but I can't decide what it is.

Anyone?

Thanks,
Tom

Hi, Tom. It does have a later A/C unit, although it's by no means new! The 'thingie' is a covered 110 AC outlet! I had to look at my hi-res photos to figure it out. I didn't notice it originally in person either.

BTW, if anyone is interested in the Hi-Res photos for a closer look, let me know and I'll be happy to email them. Also, if anyone has called these folks, please post what they're asking for this one!

Roger

Price

I just got off the phone with this man and he is asking $2500.00 for this airstream.
Also, the "thing" on the skin is a patch. The original owner hit something and put a hole in it so he fixed it and I am told it does not leak. Hope this helps.....

What a find Roger! We paid $4,000 for our 69 27' Landyacht and it is in low average condition and about 90% original.

66/67 Overlander

So, at $2500.00 sight unseen, would you take the plunge based on the pics provided? What are the risks--I am looking for a basic camper--want to try out before plunging $10k into a remodel--but I do want the pre-70s w/AC--love the original wood. This looks like walnut? Only major detractions I see are the aftermarket WH & the patch in the front (which adds character IMHO). Thoughts?
