Angry Smilies?

Anybody else having problems gettting the smilies to post in your post? If I click on the ones to the right, they won't attach to the post. FWIW I use Firefox browser. Haven't tried it in IE.

I use Firefox. I can't use "post reply" so I use "quick reply" then I go back in through edit and post the smilies. What puzzles me is that I can't change/edit the post icons . Those that I posted prior to the software upgrade with just a general smile are all mad now. (and I'm not mad- really )

It is a Firefox issue. I have been searching all over to find a fix. It's high on my list!

Smilies do not work with my Safari here at home or on my IE at work. They stopped working with the last software update.

They don't work here on IE 5.5 spk2 running on win95b.

I imagine different versions of windoze/IE will have different results. I'll try it on a few different box's and see what I find.

the other thing that hasn't been right since the upgrade is that messages in a thread won't fit properly on the page in between the frames along the outside...the one's with the various links, random photo, and so forth. I have to scroll way down below these frames to actually get to the messages.
however, the main page with the "latest 25 threads" fits inbetween the frames correctly, as does the composition window for creating a new message.

Ok, here I am on XPpro spk2/IE 6 and the page appears to be laid out correctly, with the messages in between the frames. lets see if the smilies work:

nope. get an "error on page" message in the lower left-hand corner of the IE window. I'll see if I can attach the details of the error....

Haven't tried smilies, I usually use the text shortcuts, but I couldn't get HTML link to work last night in a post. When I clicked on it the focus just jumped to the top of the page, but no box appeared to enter the HTML text and link in. This is on IE6.

I also got that weird "this is a double post" warning when I posted to the GWBush thread last night, and the post never appeared. I shrugged it off and figured it probably wasn't worth saying anyway. Then I see it's here this morning - weird!

Angry

They seem to work for me, but Marie (sd90mac) is having a problem with only some of the posts in a thread being visible. Florida State rally thread has 35 posts, but she can only get 12, unless she does a search and goes into the thread sideways.

Norby...you crack me up!

Of course, I've tried posting this 3 times and keep getting a server busy....

Anyway smilies don't work here either no matter what browser I use. I have to add them manually.
