Is there a list of supported browsers?

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.4.

I cannot use the attachment icon (paper clip) nor can I use 'attach files'.

I've tried all the editor settings. I have to switch to Netscape 7.2 window to post pictures.

Guy,
That is the browser I am using and it works fine. It maybe another setting on a firewall, anti-virus/spam filter or??? FF does some strange stuff but so does IE. Only suggestion I can give you it to log out, clear out the cache, toss the cookies and try again.

I just checked for updates for which there were none, I am using version 1.5.0.12. Where did you get the copy you are using?

Strange, I dont know whats up with the differences in versions, but there is no reason that I know of that would prevent foxfire from working fine.

I'm using that version of FF and it's no problem. I use the "Manage Attachments" button down below where you enter the text. I'm testing it here. What does it do when you try to attach a file using the 'manage attachments' button? Does it pop up the box that lets you browse to the file?

Here's a screen shot. Notice there is no "manage attachment" button. Click on the screen shot to enlarge.

How odd! What is your OS? I'm on XP. Yours looks like XP, just you have your start bar on the side.

I have the same OS, and browser, no problems like that with it. Maybe an option that got saved differently with FF than Netscape.

Weird. I can't imagine what could be different that would prevent that button from showing up.

me either, but if the only difference is the browser, and he sees the button on Netscape, it would almost have to be a slightly different setting, maybe his Adblock Plus is set to not show the button.

Just so we get out of "what computer operating system is best mode", I have a Mac which also boots up in Windows (I use XP), so I have just checked Firefox in both OSs. In both, the "manage attachments" button is visible under "Additional Options" >"Attach Files", so I think it is safe to say that the problem is neither browser nor OS related. Since Guy99 seems to be the only person having the problem, a possible cause is a corrupted Firefox file. This is moderately easy to check/correct. Save your Bookmarks (open the bookmarks manager by going to Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks) by exporting them. Then uninstall Firefox and download and install a new copy. Do not use the existing settings in the new copy. Import your bookmarks and try the Forum again.

Before you do the uninstall, you should first check on your firewall settings. Some firewalls, including the Windows XP firewall, have automatic settings which may prevent browsing your own computer's files from inside a website (like the Forum). If you are using the Windows firewall, these types of settings are often found by selecting "Advanced" settings.

Guy,
Check to see if you have javascript enabled.
Go to tools - options and select the content tab.
If you do not have Javascript enabled you will have the symptom you discribed.
