Sovereign with a Dinette?

Well after many searches and many purchase offers to other Airstream owners, we have come to the conclusion that a 32 Excella with Dinette is not in our immediate future.

So without futher ado, I have installed a dinette in our Sovereign............ Sovereign??? Huh?

Yes it is true! I have been conceptualizing this for many months. I had already bought all of the components and they were sitting in the garage, so I said to myself give it a shot.

I was concerned that I would not have the room between the Gaucho and the refrigerator so how was I going to deal with that?

Aha! Slides, I have seen many RV's that have whole rooms on slides so why not a little ol' dinette?

I measured a dinette in a 32 Excella and went to work on my concept.

I am sewing the slip covers for the cushions right now. They will match the re-upholstered Gaucho when I am done.

I laminated the table top to match the countertop that I replaced last winter (different thread).

I will post some photos to let you folks check it out. The photos appear to have the dinette right up against the Gaucho but even when the Dinette is in the expanded position, the Gaucho will still fold down into a double bed.

Bed time

For the that extra kid that seems to find his way to our trailer, I am wondering if he is hiding in the storage section until bed time.

Iron on

The edges are wrapped with an iron on oak edge material. Comesi n rolls and you simply iron it on. It comes unfinished.
