1960 Airstream Pacer - Wisconsin

Very rare 1960 Airstream Pacer, 16' for sale SN SS0350, this is the precursor to the Bambi and only 90 of this model were made in 1960. Camper is 16.5' long from rear bumper to ball hitch, living space is 13' long total, very tiny in dimension yet very spacious inside. Specifications show that the trailer weighs approximately 1800 lbs. Original Airstream warranty still intact in closet and original speckled Zolatone interior finish still intact, and unpainted. Purchased this Airstream in 2008 and have stored it indoors at all times when not in use. Interior features new front dinette with ample storage compartments, original 3 burner cooktop, original Dometic propane refrigerator have not run only used it as ice box , original fresh water tank, single bowl sink, and original toilet. This model did not come with a water heater, only cold water. Dinette and flooring all installed new with 12x12 Marmoleum flooring. Original teal drawers and yellow countertops throughout.

New water pump and 12V system installed. Have not used water system/sink/toilet, installed pump and then upgraded to a newer model airstream before utilizing all systems. 12V system includes RV battery on tongue, Inetli Power RV converter/charger along with 4 interior lights for use when not connected to shore power. 110V electric system, lights/outlets working properly, original fuse system still operational. Original sconce lights have original shades intact with no damage! The Pacer was equipped with an in floor furnace which I cleaned up when installing the floor, never used because of the inherent fire risk. We only ever used an electric heater when camping and trust me, with the size of this camper, it heats up very quickly. Dinette has custom cushions with marine grade durable fabric, all windows feature new curtains with blackout fabric backing, and original fully operational Herr roof vent. All windows work as designed with all required equipment/locks. Mattress is from a 2006 Bambi, very good condition, no stains and comfortable.

Exterior of the camper is in excellent condition for its age, only one blemish on the entire body road side minor scratch that existed when I purchased 13 years ago, see picture. Seams could use resealing, did not do this because of indoor storage and possible polishing. Tongue features 12V battery, 2 new 13lb aluminum propane tanks can be polished , and new bulldog tongue jack. All compartments have new lock sets and corresponding keys go with. Original Bargman door lock intact and working with key. Very cool door in door screen works great and is a real head turner. Door should have weather stripping replaced, purchased new weather stripping from vintage trailer supply for this year/model but have not installed, will go with the trailer. Red entry step and vintage trailer supply red striped awning/poles included with the camper. Tires on the trailer were replaced when purchased, they are in very good shape but will likely need to be replaced strictly due to age. New powder coated rims and half moon chrome hub caps installed when tires were purchased. Axel is in original condition, this model has a leaf spring system not the normal torsion axel. I have not observed any issues, trailer comes equipped with trailer brakes but have never used due to the minimal weight of the camper. All trailer marker lights and brake lights work.

I am very sad to let this little gem go, we have loved camping in it for years but as our family grew, it has sat in storage. Electric system, dinette, water pump, flooring were all installed by professional RV companies. Has been stored indoors unused for the last 7 years. We did everything we could to keep it as original as possible, its ready for its next adventure/caretaker!

Please let me know if you have any questions about the camper. It is located just outside of Milwaukee in a storage facility, can set up viewing if interested. 22,500

Matt
