Does anyone have extra '68 sink covers?

Hi there,
I was thinking of buying a second sink mate, but I would really love to have the old formica style sink cover/covers for the old girl. My mom threw them out in the 70's after they got chipped. Let me know if you have any that you aren't using! Our interior and counter is harvest gold, but I don't care if they match. Thanks for looking!

dd, I replaced my missing covers by buying two matching cutting boards and using a router cut the bottom side down to fit into the sink bowls. The original ones were plywood with Formica tops that matched the countertop. They were made just to give more counter space and nothing more. By using the cutting boards you get the benefit of being able to use the bottom sides of the covers as actual cutting boards. You get to keep the top sides looking good as counter top extra areas. Hope this helps, Ed

I may have the one out of our 72 Argosy, I think it's Harvest Gold and in good shape. I'll PM you if I have it.

DryFly, thank you so much! Big Ed, that's a great idea but requires buying the husband more tools. Might be the only way to go if I can't find the vintage ones!

Easy to make a pair with nothing more than a jigsaw, some sandpaper and a little contact cement for the laminate.
