Chalkboard on interior face of door…

The new PB Special Edition has a chalkboard surface on the lower interior main door face. Anyone have any idea what the material is or if that specific part can be ordered? I haven’t seen one in person to be able to take a good look.

I know there is paint available, and I have found some adhesive material, but curious how they achieved this in the PB Edition.

Thanks for any help!

Nathan

And the part number is...

I did some research and answered my own question. According to the 2022 PB Special Edition parts manual, the chalkboard is Part# 195616. I have reached out to Airstream of New Mexico as to availability and cost. Assuming that all lower door panels are the same on wide bodies, I assume this could be fitted to lots of different models.

My plan is foiled...

A new wrinkle... In order to order this part, and many others unique to this (and other) Special Editions, the dealer needs to provide a VIN#. Airstream won't fill an order without a verified VIN. First World problems, I know, and I understand where they are coming from.

Plenty of options for material on the web, and for considerably less money. Hi Ho, Hi Ho, the DIY Route I'll Go.

I'll post photos.
