2018 trailer. What a shame

Saw this on CL today. Man this kills me to see it. Anyone think it's even repairable?

Yeah... no. It’s salvage title, he’s just trying to part it out. You may want to just offer him $5k cash and see if he takes it. Good luck moving it.

There are at least 3 more on Ebay in similar condition.

There is a company that has an agreement with Airstream and just buys empty shells.......so buy just a shell and transfer the interior......the shell will have a good VIN and this would save you a few thousand dollars.

Cheers

That is a lot of broken and bent aluminum. A well tuned rig should be able to take a deer hit with little damage. That coach looks like it was in a loss of control roll over event. Sad - Pat

I investigated a lot of car-deer crashes over the years and at highway speed the damage is usually pretty significant on anything smaller than a big rig.

I agree. Wonder what the tow vehicle looked like? I have not found any online reports of the crash.

Just an educated guess based on how I see these rigs when they roll in...
Tow vehicle was rolling along at the speed limit, a deer jumped in front of the truck, which swerved, but still clipped the deer. The rig had no WD/sway control, and the swerving caused an oscillation with the trailer that caused it to roll over.

That one definitely rolled on its side, thet they don't go trapazoidal any other way. The upholstered stuff might be okay, but the electronics and appliances will be a crapshoot. Still coukd be a deal for renovating an older 30 footer.... but I wouldnt go near it at 15K. And you still gotta get rid of all the bits you cant use or sell.

3 televisions in a trailer? And I thought 2 were stupid in mine.

Not a chance, unless you wanted to spend more than you could get for a non-trashed pre-owned unit.

That whole trailer is trashed, and who knows if the frame is even straight anymore. Like others have said, it's a parts trailer at best IMHO.
