Pictures - Interior Pictures - Let's See 'Em

There might be other threads about the interior decorating of our Airstreams, I dunno. I did take a quick look and didn't see any devoted exclusively to *pictures*.

I have an alter ego who my wife calls "Jean-Paul" who really enjoys interior design. He's ready to start decorating the inside of my trailer and he would really like some ideas. So he's asked me to encourage you to post pictures of the inside of your trailer. Doesn't have to be Architectural Digest stuff, Jean-Paul wants to see it all. Let's see some pictures!

J.Mogan, that is beautiful. Is bathroom in the back . Is that a computer desk? I love the black leather side seat. Jean-Paul, great thread start. I will add once I get on my pc, iPad loves to post upside down.

Good topic. Subscribed. Didn't really think our 16' had enough space to decorate until seeing what other folks had done with theirs. Some of you peeps are true artists.

Thank you.

That was the most fun project I ever did.

The area is a computer/work area/dining area.

There is a shelf to the right that pulls out like a drawer to extend the "table area".

It is a rear bath trailer, I installed a 32" shower just to the rear of the stove.

It is hard to her good pictures of the bath area because of its size...

I saw an old trailer with a wood interior when I was a kid, it captured my attention and memory for about 30 years until my wife got the trailer bug and I was blessed to be able tho build this from a well used but sound 72 Sovereign.

I wanted a few things. I wanted a rustic wood interior, a queen bed, a full size shower, and a living area comfortable for two but capable of 3 or 4 in a pinch.

I have made two real trips, one last summer which turned out to be a shakedown trip, and another 3 week trip that ended last Wednesday.

My build was truly unconventional, but influenced by the gorgeous Adirondack build that is all over the Internet. (No mine is not to that extraordinary standard)

Great response, thanks! It's going to be fascinating to see what everyone has done with their Airstreams (I didn't say trailers because this includes motor homes also).

Keep 'em coming!

Very cool pics and thread.

J. Morgan, does your unit stay in one spot or is it all set for travel?

Set for travel.

We just got in from about a 3,000 mile excursion.

It looks like you have refinished your Tappan MityMite stove top. What did you do to the stovetop and burner grates? They look very nice.

Redesigning the Dinette

We have a 2012 FC 25 rear bedroom. There's just the two of us. The front dinette feels way too big and dominates all the space in front. The table is far bigger than we need for example.

In considering a redesign of this whole front area to be more lounge and less dinette, I am wondering is this will ruin the eventual resale value? Assuming the redesign was done in the same quality, of course. I envision something like two leather chairs and a smaller table between them, and some storage or shelves on the two sides. The existing dinette is frankly not comfortable for TV watching, reading etc. The dinette seats are sort of utilitarian.

I wouldn't want to reduce my value radically by doing this. But, I would like to have a more custom design that fits our needs.
