Historical Trailer Park

Was told about this by a co-worker this morning, thought it was interesting and that I'd share it...

I've seen the place, it's about 3 miles from my house. I hope they do get landmark status. Some great old trailers, a couple of Spartans, a Boles Aero, and a couple of Airstreams. There's another vintage trailer park in Bisbee, AZ called the Shady Dell, it has 4 or 5 restored vintage trailers that are rented out like motel rooms. i read somewhere that it is currently for sale.

We've got a park here in Detroit, on the rivermouth overlooking Lake St Clair, opened in 1931 (or close to it) it has some of the original trailers too. But the owners were told it would be closing next year, it was bought by new owners. It is in what is becoming a very high rent district and going to be replaced by condos or a highrise. It is still a sort of park/fishing camp as most of the occupants are fisherman.

Thumbs up Go look at Shady Dell

Hey Spinolio thanks for that Shady Dell link in your above post. Everyone of us should look at that site. It was much fun.
Have you stayed there?
Do you recall the asking price of the business?

Spinolio is a curious nick, any significance you'd share?

Found the real estate link for the Shady Dell, asking price is $625,000.00, evidently Dot's Diner is included in the price.

Shady Dell For Sale

Haven't stayed there yet, might swing by on my way back from AL with the new MH in Jan.

nickname- My best friend (best man in May) started calling me that 10+ years ago while we were snowboarding and it stuck, I think he got it from a movie. I used to do alot of 180's & 360's (spinning tricks) key phrase is "used to" things are much different @ 37 than they were @ 24. Still snowboard as much as possible though.
