Hey, if some smuk paid me $42,000 for that thing I think I'd leave the country before he came to his senses and wanted his money back too.

That thing wouldn't sell for $4,200.00 much less $42,000.00.There must have been a mistake in the listing or this person is smoking something.

Well..

I'm pretty sure this fellow is not a member of the WBCCI New England Unit....
At least I've never heard any members talking about this "5th Wheel" Airstream attending our rallies.

Michelle & Leon,
The person who made that fifth wheel is a member of Charter Oak Unit. And in fact in addition to that 25 footer he also made one from a 31 footer. He did the 31 first and then the 25. I can't be certain that is his, but I can tell you he sure attracted a crowd at every rally. Lots of folks took pictures and maybe someone copied it. He worked in construction all his life. Like lots of folks in construction he has an affinity for dually trucks and fifth wheel trailers. He now lives in Travelers Rest Airstream park in Florida in a large 5th wheel with multi slide out. Everyone in that park knows him. He's a regular guy, not a redneck, who likes 5th wheels and Airstreams. He made quite a hit at the Manitoba Rally with his 31footer in 1992.

Get A Hensley!!

OMG!

For $42 Large, one could buy the original trailer, have David Winnick completely gut and remake the interior, buy a Hensley and it will STILL TOW LIKE A 5th WHEEL!! And you would have a nice chunk of change in your pocket as well!!!

Unbelievable how some people value their posessions! I would call it.....'Franken-trailer'!!

Thank You for the background info. "To each his own" we have all "MODIFIED" our AS to our own desires, please don't show me a polished AS and pass it off as "ORIGINAL" - that's not what WALLY wanted when he clear coated them........

The Asking Price is Absurd

As I said I know the person who Modified that trailer to be a 5th wheel. He is not the person who is selling it on e-bay. The person who is selling it claims he made it. He did not. The original persons WBCCI numbers are still on the trailer in the picture shown on e-bay. I'm sure if my friend thought it is worth what the seller is asking, he would be busy making a lot more. Looks like the description has been couched in more um... neutral language and the price is less than half of the last listing.
