Looks like a rock guard of some sort.

Segment protector? Rock guard for your front aluminum though I rarely see any road rash on that area

Looks like someone just painted front of trailer with Pickup Truck Bed Protector goop as way to minimize small rock damage and scratches.. Extra points for creativity, but points deducted for potentially making removal really difficult for next owner, and for fact that rocks will still dent the soft aluminum underneath the paint-on coating...

Thats my thought, I have some front end damage from a PO, and it looks like a halfway decent coverup. Oh yea this is listed on craigs list, tampa bay for $5500. Not that I have the $$ for it right now, and my wife would kill me if I brough another AS home..

I think a little road rash would look better than that sprayed on bed liner.
That's ugly

That was an applique segment protector.
Popular in the 70's before the stand-off segment protectors were introduced.
It is not sprayed-on bed liner, but it's just as ugly.
Ugly but effective.

Well, I don't think it's ugly....but judging from your picture of your rig, you clearly have a much greater sense of design than I do. Your setup is really stunning! That's got to turn a lot of heads!

That's the 25' Trade Wind right? In the ad, it looks really clean.
I've seen a handful of trailers with that same pattern on the front, that's painted a dark gray, but I haven't seen one that's been painted over with truck liner.

My '72 Tradewind has the same coating on the front and along the rocker panel. Not truck liner, but maybe that is where the truck liner people got the idea??
