Pulling out the pantry (temporarily)

I am intent on adding some sheet backing to the slide-out pantry to make it more useful (2008 25 SE FB) but am struggling to find the mechanism to release the slides & pull the unit out without having to unscrew the guides.

Has anyone had success in pulling out their pantry? Can you share the secret?

Thanks.

Thanks Dennis,

It never occurred to me to ask Airstream.

I'll give them a call maybe.

If your pantry has the same double action slides that mine has I think you are better off just removing the 3 screws on each side and lifting the tray out.

If you find the release you will have to push the slides back into the cabinet as someone holds the weight of the tray because there is not enough clearance in front of the pantry to pull the tray off the slides.

Thanks Howie,

There would be enough room in my unit to slide the pantry unit out.

What is needed is some way to release the slide "stop" but attempts to lever the stop one way or the other does not release the slider unit. All of my attempts to do this have so far been unsuccessful.

I may just leave it in place & install the panel the hard way...

Thanks for poating.
