Grease Seal Cross reference

I'm doing a bearing repack and need grease seals immediately.

Does anyone know off hand the equivalent part number from Autozone/Advance/O'reileys for a Dexter 680370-100 seal?

Thanks!

This website gives the dimension.

http://odmrv.com/catalog/index.php?m...oducts_id=1185

Based on dimensions many parts places can find a seal.

I would recommend having a spare set of seals. They don't cost much and if you are on the road and have the need they come in handy.

Yup, just Google the part number stamped on the old one and you'll get plenty of info and alternatives. Dexter and the number worked for me

OK, here's the whole story.

I'm not at the trailer. I won't be at the trailer till I'm away from the parts store.

Action, I appreciate the picture with dimension. I previously went to that website but didn't see the small image with the sketch.

I googled the crap out of the dexter part number. I don't have a physical bearing to see if it has another stamp.

The shops listed were closed when I posted. I'll phone when I get a minute now.

Thanks,

This number is from a company named REDLINE. Their website is :

REDLINE-PARTS.COM

RG06-070

it is a double lipped seal. 3.376" OD x 2.25" ID
I get mine from a nearby truck/trailer parts house and it is a common part usually in stock.

I bought mine from Outdoor Mart Airstream Dealer in Colfax, NC. Perfect parts, instant shipping, good pricing.

Ditto. I keep a spare set of grease seals and bearings in the toolbox.

sounds like Dan is going to get all lubed up! Enjoy. Not one of my favourite jobs.
Hope you can do it indoors if it rains. We are supposed to get torrential rain all weekend here in Toronto..

Pulled this off a website

Question:
I need seals for my fifth wheel camper with 7K Dexter axles with EZ Lube hubs. Dexter told me I needed 010-036-00 seals which when cross referenced on their site could be National 412920. Is the seal you list as 10-36 a replacement for the Dexter 010-036-00? If it is, the National number you have listed is 452920. Can you provide the right seal for my application? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Tru Ryde grease seals you mentioned, part # RG06-70 are indeed a replacement for the 10-036-00 Dexter seals. They would work great for your application.

I have the National 412920 as my seal for 12 inch Dexter Axles...also SKF 22532.
Use any of these numbers at a supplier and they will match it

Go to any NAPA auto parts store and they can quickly hand you replacements. Those seals are as common as fleas on a dog’s back.

Unfortunately, NAPA isn't as common in my area anymore.

Al, It's almost 70 degrees (merican) today. I can pull out the zip dees to block some of the drips!

We're just glad to finally get back in the trailer. This is the longest in five years that we haven't camped.

I'm lubing up for the occasion

After driving about 2,000 miles from New Jersey (trailer was flat bedded to dealer) to Paradise, TX with our new 2015 23D International Serenity, we discovered one set of wheel bearings were scored from lack of grease. The other three sets were low on grease. So we replaced the off shore bearings with USA made Timken bearing sets.

Installed auto adjusting drum brake upgrade and four sets of Timken bearings (#4 and #17 bearing sets and #441151 seals)
