Pro Pride 2.5” Receiver fit issues

My question is has other pro pride owners with 2.5” hitches had to modify the receiver end to get it to fit you TV? I have tried two different ones that are too big to fit my F-350. I thought maybe it was my truck but both my B&W and Reese hitches fit with no problem.

My dealer ground the 4 corners of the PP 2.5” stinger to better fit my Chevy 2.5” receiver. Didn’t take much but it was necessary. Good luck!

I bought the 2.5 stinger from ProPride earlier this year and it fit my 2017 Silverado 2500HD just fine.

Slight filing or grinding on the corners may be required. Topic of not fitting into a receiver come up occasionally. Sean has been quoted over on the FB page that the bar stock is accurate to specs but some receivers on the trucks don't meet the published specs. Maybe BW and Reese undersize slightly but that can mean more play and wobble.

Interesting, I have chev 2500 and actually had to weld "ribbons" with just the rod, then file to fit as my pro pride stinger was to sloppy in the hitch. Nothing on Sean, pretty sure his QC is lot better then GM, my reciever wasn't even close to 2.5" All better now!

My 2.5” ProPride stinger fit my 2019 F250 and feels much better than the 2” with the spacer. I”be been very happy with it.

To pile on, I changed to the 2.5" stinger from the 2.0" for my 2018 F-250, and it fits perfectly. It has a lot less slop than the 2" stinger with the Ford adapter. In fact, the slop was so bad with the adapter that the cross pin hole was beginning to become unround after a lot of towing.
