Almost always sunny here unless there is a hurricane bearing down on you. And then it's time to hook up the burb and roll. So far I've been very lucky.

Someone had fun with it. I can see paint scrapings in front and the side.
I don't have any free VIN searches that I know of and if the Police don't know, is the property owned by your sister? If so, I suspect you have yourself a new Tahoe.
I might suggest calling dealer seeing what they may be able to find. Some are more willing to help than others.

I would call the Police again. Tell them that there is a suspicious vehicle behind your business with no tag on it, and that you want them to come out and investigate. If the person who answers the phone refuses ask to speak to a Police Supervisor. If you get no satisfaction at this point, you have a seriously crappy Police Department there. I would next call the Mayor's Office and tell them that you have called the Police and asked them to come out and investigate a suspicious vehicle, and that they have refused. If you are dealing with a Sheriff's Office, call the High Sheriff or the Under Sheriff.
For all you know, there could be a dead body in that car for all you know.

Call On Star. Give them the VIN number. They will do the rest.

So this is not the only thing going on in my life. So I haven't really been paying attention to it other then just peeking around the corner of the building to see if it is still there. Damn can you believe that after 22 days no one has come by to even look at it.
The police here are really on the ball. Around the same time as the Tahoe showed up we had an incident with some home guys having fires on the other side of the railroad tracks. Well it has been so dry here that everyone is very afraid of wild fires. I reported this as well and asked them to please come out and deal with them, I left my ph. # for them to call me. Still waiting!! Thank goodness the guys have moved on. I may have had something to do with it, me and a Louisville slugger. Has something to do with Teddy Roosevelt’s motto “Speak softly, and carry a big stick”

It could very well be someone that is behind in their payments, and is hiding it from the repo man. It doesn't currently show as being stolen.

I did try Onstar and they told me all about the year and color of the car. Then she asked me if I wanted them to open the doors. Of course I said yes hoping to find some info in the glove box maybe. Then she says that the account had not been active since last November. So opening the door wasn't something she could do. She couldn't tell me anything about the present owner.

I just CK the VIN # again and no report on it. This quite a paradoxical. (Word OF The Day means conundrum)

OMG!!!!
I just now went out to show that Tahoe to a friend that came by.
And it's gone!!!
I feel almost like someone had stolen my parts car.
Oh well one less thing to worry about.
