ceramic tile

I have seen various pieces of advice re. use of ceramic tile. Has anyone actually used it on floors, in shower? I would like advise from someone who has experience with it.

Tiles sound nice but there is just to much flex in the flooring which leads to cracks very very soon, not to mention weight. A few have tried it here, without success.

In small quantities it can be used. The back splash in the pic below is glass tile. I used an adhesive silicon caulk and used a color caulk for the grout.

Do some digging around on Airforums I know I've seen others treads on this.
