Replacing shocks on trailer

Does anybody know how to replace shocks on a trailer? I got the old one off but am unable to replace it because the end of the axle arm stud is too close to the trailer body. The end of the shock won't fit between the two! Thanks in advance.

You'll need to bend the bracket out a bit install the shock and bend it back OR lower the axle.
