Registration Of New AS

Hi,

We're considering relocating within 30 days of buying a new AS. Current state does NOT refund registration which is rolled into financing and final price.

Is it possible to tell the dealer to hold off on registration and let us decide if and which state we want to domicile in?

Could always stay put too but just want to keep options open for as long as possible.

Probably not as they are doing the financing they want the title so it has to be registered. Dave

What about when people travel to say Colonial from out of state?

Do they have to register it there and again when you get home?

Last year a dealer in AZ said people from CA buy from them and they cartage the AS to the border and owner takes possession there. I believe they said you don't even pay sales tax as you'll do that when you register in your location....

We didn't consider this so did not explore deeper but now may hold out and shop nationwide and even relocate at the same time.

No sense in making it easy right?
