Any tricks to replacing large curved corner windows?

Good friend had an oops and has to replace the rear curved window on his 1995 Excella. Anybody had to do this and can give us any hints on the reinstall. New window arrives tomorrow, and all the dented panel has been put back to original shape. I doubt that the holes in the replacement frame will line up with the existing, but that should not be a major problem. Any thoughts??

Please take pictures and post them! Do the new windows already come installed in the frame? If they do, the biggest thing I'd recommend is have a couple roles of butyle tape to seal it up. Hopefully you have olympic rivets and the shaver?

Just noticed you posted this two days ago. How did the install go?

Got the install done yesterday. Not as bad as antisipated, and after talking to John and Kevin at P&S it took us about 3 hours. Finished shaving the rivets today and installing the interior trim. Got the window from Airstream trailer Parts.com, which is part of P&S. Highly reccomend them.

It sounds like you used Olympic rivets, keep a close eye on those and be sure to hit them with Capt Tolly’s on occasion. There was a panel replaced by a previous owner of my ‘77 and every OR leaked. All of them.

I was very pleased with the outcome. All the neoprene orings were removed from the Oly rivets prior to installation and each rivet was coated with Bostik ISR70 adhesive sealer before being installed. This product is used by bus manufacturers and is a combination sealer/adhesive. I was very surprised on the flexibility of the window as we were installing it. At first looking at the window I was concerned that the radius was wrong, but after talking with Kevin at P&S my concerns were eliminated. A good learning experience!! I have installed thousands of Oly rivets over the years but this was my first curved window install. Sidewall windows go a lot faster.
