The p.o. of my Excella put on a door handle and an extra pull handle that I don't like. For one thing the handle sticks in too far and makes the screen door slide unusable.
I am wanting to go back to the bargman style door lock, and will have to mod the door to put it in, removing this assembly and the small aluminum sheet its mounted to.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Alansd I replaced the lock on my 82 with a Bragman 300. I had to modify the jam as the 300 has studs that lock into grooves. I will take some pics and send to you tommorow.
Thanks. This had the old lock of course at one time, and seems like he modded the new one to fit the old slot in the jamb, so hopefully the main problem will be getting some new skin on the door and putting the bargman in that.

I have a 1979 Excella Motor Home which I have owned for nearly 8 years and during that period I have done everything to try to stop the door from rattling when traveling. Neither New hinges and new rubber have eliminated the rattle. Now, I am thinking of somehow adapting a latch similar to that on boat hatches or gangways. Do you have any suggestions that could help in resolving that problem? Also what is a Bragmam 300 or is it a Bargman?
