1960 24' Tradewind Bargman Lock not locking

Hi all, the main door lock key spins in either direction, makes some clunking noises every once in a while but does not catch to lock the door. The door handle will lock the door from the inside but the key will not unlock it from the outside either.

I have not disassembled the lock yet as I figured a little experience might be needed before digging into it.
