Anyone purchased the Winegard Wingman for your Winegard antena? Airstream says in Schu's News it boost your UHF by 100%. Is it worth the $26.95 plus handling? I have THREE units that need converting?

It's on my list but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I did talk to a fellow streamer at a rally in April who had installed the Wingman. I recall that he shrugged his shoulders when I asked how it worked.

I was an early adopter on this thing and really haven't seen any real improvement. Details are in this thread - http://www.airforums.com/forums/f450...man-48742.html

I guess the advertised improvement is "up to 100%". I think in actual use it is much, much less. At least that is what I have seen.

Hi, my brother bought one and installed it on his SOB class A motorhome; He said it doesn't seem to do anything at all. Furthermore, he said it mounts, plastic to plastic, so basically there is no connection to the real antenna. My brother plans to return his "antenna decoration" as soon as he gets back from Alaska.

I was all set to have one installed on my Overlander when the technician advised me that it wouldn't work on my coach as there wasn't enough room between my antenna and the refrigerator vent. From what I have been hearing, I am not missing too much!
